For the October Non-Fiction book I decided to read a book that has been sitting untouched on my shelf for months. It looked long and boring so i've been putting off reading it until this month, and I wish I had read it sooner. I'm no artist, that's for sure but I really enjoyed reading Jaxtheimer's book about the different techniques and methods of painting and drawing. A lot of the vocabulary was artistry terms that I didn't understand but after reading for a while, I realized that I didn't have to know every word that they talked about, and the words that I needed to know were explained to me. I really liked learning about how different famous artists in the past went about creating their masterpieces. I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to advance their own techniques in art or learn the techniques of different artists.
