Demystified is your solution for tricky subjects like trigonometryIf you think a Cartesian coordinate is something from science fiction or a hyperbolic tangent is an extremeexaggeration, you need "Trigonometry DeMYSTiFieD," Second Edition, to unravel this topic's fundamental concepts and theories at your own pace. This practical guide eases you into trig, startingwith angles and triangles. As you progress, you willmaster essential concepts such as mapping, functions, vectors, and more. You will learn to transform polar coordinates as well as apply trigonometry in the real world. Detailed examples make it easy to understand the material, and end-of-chapter quizzes and a final exam help reinforce key ideas. It's a no-brainer! You'll learn about: Right trianglesCircular functionsHyperbolic functionsInverse functionsGeometrical opticsInfinite-series expansionsTrigonometry on a sphereSimple enough for a beginner, but challenging enough for an advanced student, "Trigonometry DeMYSTiFieD," Second Edition, helps you master this essential subject.
I never took Trigonometry in school. I'm glad. That would have been a waste. This book is faster.
Gibilisco's writing is dry and he makes no attempts to bring great insight to the subject. Like any bored-out-of-his-mind teacher he gives you the terminology, shows you some examples, and quizzes you on them. You'll know basic trigonometry when you're done.
This is a boring book for a boring (on its own) subject. But the trigonometric functions are important to understand. So get through it as quickly as you can and try to remember it.
NOTE: I didn't actually "like" this book as my three-star rating would seem to indicate. Instead, it was just "ok." But I learned the subject, so two stars looked wrong.
