Rate this book

This is a beautiful story in a fascinating otherwordly setting of a Greek village in 19th Centur Turkey. Just google a picture of Pharasa and you'll see what I mean. Some of the accounts of healing can be very similar to each other but many stoires have intriguing twists like the robbers that couldn't find their way out of St. Arsenios' cell, or the woman who had to water a rock.

Beautifully written book by St. Paisios. The details of St. Arsenios’s life is captured in the book and filled with important events and examples of the several miracles he performed. A must read for any Orthodox and a great reminder of the importance of keeping our Faith alive despite difficulties.

Absolutely beautiful account of the life and miracles of Saint Arsenios. Saint Paisios provides a well rounded and clear picture of this holy figure, while still leaving appropriate room to contemplate his mysterious and miraculous nature. We also get a good picture of the village of Pharasa, where both Saints originated.

Wonderful and inspiring book. St Paisios paints the life of the time in Cappadocia very well, and eventual exodus of St Arsenios and the Greeks from Cappadocia. St. Arsenios and St Paisios, pray unto God for us!
