This was such an interesting book. Twenty-five women write essays about their fathers, their history with their father and how they were effected by his death. All different stories, good fathers, loving fathers, indifferent fathers and some just bad fathers. The most interesting to me was the strength of all the daughters. Some had a much more difficult life but they overcame and became highly functioning women. Yes, it is easier if you have a loving, caring father but not necessary for a productive life and not having a loving, caring father sometimes makes you a better person because you learn early on to be a survive. I highly recommend this book!
