Each one of us believes in magic & wishes. But what do you wish for? . Our wish is like a little pebble thrown into the pond of the universe. When the pebble hits the water, ripples are created, spreading its impact far & wide. Our wish impacts the world around us, this is what we call the Placebo Effect. But what is the most powerful magic in the universe? It is God’s love. Bo Sachez the author of the book: How to Be a Blessing Magnet shares 8 powerful simple steps to attract the miracles you need every day:
1. Be Grateful for Past & Future Blessings.
Psalm 77:11 “I will remember Your great deeds, Lord; I will recall the wonders You did in the past.”
Wealth is measured by how thankful you are. It is a feeling & it is not measured by how much money you have. It’s measured by how thankful you are. If you want more miracles in your life, you have to be thankful not only for what you see but for what you do not see.
2. Find your Wound to Find Your Wish.
Every wish comes from a wound, without a wound, there can be no wish. Wounds will push us to be successful because successful people stand out & challenge the norm. There are 3 things that successful people have in their lives: (a) wounds, (b) wishes, and (c) work. If you have found your wish, put it on a notebook or illustration board (whichever you are comfortable with). Draw your wishes there, & pray for this dream board every day.
3. Be Clear With What You Want
If your wish is not clear or fuzzy, you are sending out your wish confused, conflicted, corrupted, & chaotic. The universe doesn't respond to fuzziness, it only responds to clarity. Focus on what you wish for, & know what you want. When you send out a clear wish, you move the universe to action.
Matthew 7:7 “Ask, & you will receive; seek & you will find; knock, & the door will be opened to you.”
4. Manufacture Your Miracles
One of the biggest reasons why we don't receive God’s blessings is because we rely on Him too much. We need to remember that God won’t do for you what you can do for yourself. If He did, you wouldn't grow.
There are 2 essential ingredients of miracles: (1) asking, and (2) acting. These 2 go hand in hand, to produce miracles in our lives.
James 2:18 “Show me how anyone can have faith without actions. I will show you my faith by my actions”.
5. Believe That All Things Will Work Out
There are events in our lives that are painful, & they don't make sense. The reason we don't understand it is because God is at work behind the scenes. He is connecting the “odd” pieces of the jigsaw puzzle of our lives into a glorious bigger picture. Let’s not be anxious, but be patient. Everything will be clear when it is time. Pray with thanksgiving instead, for our trial is temporary. It will come to an end.
6. See Failure Not as Rejection But as Redirection
When our lives become painful, it means God has better plans for us. Failure isn’t God’s rejection, failure is God’s redirection.
Proverbs 20:30 “Sometimes, it takes a painful situation to change your ways.”
When something isn’t working, when something is causing pain, when something is not growing, be quiet. Listen to God’s direction in your heart. He may not be asking you to change location, or change a job, or change a business, or change a relationship but He may be asking you to change your strategy.
Success doesn't teach you much, it's only failure that teaches you your most important lessons in victory.
7. Keep Moving Forward
Trials are like going through the fire, every one of us goes through this. But how are we reacting to this? Are we like the carrot who thought it was hard & strong, but when the fire came, it became weak & lost all its strength? Or are you like the egg that had a malleable spirit & a tender heart, but when trials come, its heart hardens? Or are you like the coffee beans that released their flavor & aroma in the fire? Our trials can release our gifts & dreams, they can set us free.
Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, For You are with me”.
Don’t lose hope, stop focusing on our trial, stop focusing on your problems but instead, focus on the finish line, focus on your dream, & focus on the prize before you. Stand up & keep running!
8. Expect Your Future to Be Beautiful
The last chapter of our lives has been written, & it has a happy ending.
Every one of us needs hope, and it is underrated. We need it for survival & it is crucial for any kind of success.
The lesson I learned: God doesn't look at people’s performance. But some people are hung up on their performance. Because of this, their concept of God is just like theirs: constantly judging, evaluating, & assessing their performance. God is simply obsessed with us! He doesn’t look at what you’ve done wrong, he looks at what you’ve done right. He doesn’t look at whether you’re in the first place or the last place. No matter what happens, we always take first place in His heart & bless us abundantly.
Here’s a powerful declaration to share from the book: “I’m God’s beloved and it’s His great pleasure to bless me. God’s river of blessings is flowing to me at every single moment of my life. Everything I need comes to me. I’m a blessing magnet…” . Be a blessing magnet to yourself and to everyone! . The book is straight to the point with a lot of anecdotes people can relate. It's an easy and quick read for people who want to feel inspired.
My criticism was that Bo Sanchez shortened names from the Bible. One example is the blind Bartimaeus. In one chapter, Bro Bo said something like, "Let's call him Bart." And from that point, the character was written as Bart. I'm sure we won't be calling Jesus, Jess.
This book made me realize a lot of things about my insecurities. God showers blessing every single moment in our lives, we just fail to see it because of the worldly materials that we want. We must first live a life of gratefulness, before we become blessings to other people.
A no-nonsense approach on how to enhance your outlook in life through a radical paradigm shift. Bo Sanchez's corresponding anecdotes in each chapter drives his message home succinctly.
“A temporary dip means there’s great success if you persevere through that difficult time. Dead end means there’s no great success even if you persevere for a thousand years.” 🍃
