Fascinating book about Buster Keaton that comes closest to accurate information about the man and the filmmaker. Often the book is in Buster's own words collected from interviews (audio and written) and quoted from reliable sources. Being a long time admirer of Keaton, I knew most of the stories as many are gleaned from various biographies and quoted from the Keaton documentary "A Hard Act to Follow" but often the stories are expanded from an original edited version. The best part of the book is when Buster's last wife, Eleanor, corrects misinformation, clarifies stories and offers a more in depth look at Buster's family members. There are sweet stories of Buster at home with his train sets delivering snacks to guests and how he rescued kittens that the mother cat stored in the chimney! Eleanor endorsed this book which also adds to its authenticity, so if you love Buster Keaton, you should enjoy this book. All 466 pages of it!
