I thought this book was brilliant. I’ve recently traveled to Ireland and I feel that, after reading this book, I’ve been opened up to a new culture. The woman in the shop recommended I read it because it was extremely accurate. It was an enjoyable read, and as much as I want to say that I related to most of the book only a few resonated with me (then again, I’m not from Ireland). I especially liked the one about how you expect the road to be 60% potholes and the one about how saying goodbye to your grandmother over the phone takes longer than the whole phone call. I recommend the book to those who are Irish and those who want to know more about the Irish.
