Professor Wolff's clear and thorough orientation to the collection of oracles in the book of Obadiah and to the narrative art of the book of Jonah. Differently, both prophets provide an answer to what the interaction is between the whole of humanity God has createdand His people in particular.
I read this because it "can't be ignored" in Jonah studies. Though we do not share some major interpretive presuppositions, I did benefit from some of Wolff's exegetical insights.
Wolff's commentaries on both books were useful enough to justify my reading them (especially the portion on Jonah), while also being full of unhelpful nonsense. I found this volume simultaneously invaluable and infuriating. 3.5/5
