The pop up illustrations really make this book. The text is fine too, but not really anything special. An excellent choice for storytime with really young children.
A nice, easy book for story break in Movement storytime. And the kids love pop-ups! (And dinosaurs, too.)
5/4/15 Been a while since I used this, so I brought it out for Movement storytime again. Huge hit.
1/23/17 Getting back into the habit of Movement storytime, the one thing I forgot was to pull a book. Thank goodness we have this on the shelf in the storytime closet. Kids liked and enjoyed.
Typical Stickland dinosaur fare--fun, colorful, and text that kids can interact with. This one is a pop up book, and is a little simpler than Dinosaurs Galore! A Roaring Pop-up. Definitely a great one for young dinosaur lovers.
The best part about this book were, by far, the pictures because it's a pop up book that is done in bold and eye catching colors. I didn't really think the content of the book was all that impressive but the class of 4 year olds it was read to seemed to like it.
This isn't my favorite of Strickland's dinosaur stories, but pop-up books are gold in story time! The kids "oooh-ed" and "ahhh-ed" at the pictures while I read the book during a dinosaur/dragon-themed program for bilingual story time.
A true pop-up/pop-out book! Great for one on one or group sharing. This format is in my professional collection not available to the public at the library due to the "fragileness" of the book. The children loved it.
Dinosaur Stomp! is a fun, short pop-up that invites you to the dinosaur stomp party! The preschool group loved the pop-ups, and they had fun stomping and roaring with the dinosaurs.
Toddlers and pop up books have got to be the best combination in the world. Loved the colors and the various shapes of all of the dinosaurs though some of the shapes made it hard to read. Fortunately it was easy to more or less memorize.
One of the best pop-up books I've ever come across. Very short story (one liner sentences per page) but cute and fun nonetheless. A sure hit with kids.
Eh. The pop-ups were good, which might be all that three-year-olds care about, and the rhymes worked, but there wasn't much story and what there was repeated a book from a couple of weeks ago.
