I have to be honest. I've said it before, it's hard to read books by preachers...I never know what to expect. I can happily say I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was not a complicated read and I received so much insight! While this book is a manual of how to rebuild walls pertaining to marriage, I read it totally from a different slant if you will. I am not married, but what I got from the book were covenant building tools for relationships in general: friendships, children, coworkers, etc. If you are a builder, you build people, not tear them down. If we see that as the big picture, our mindset and skill set is required to change. I want to be a builder of God's people. Another takeaway from the book for me was how we rebuild as the body of Christ. People come to Jesus a mess! How do we minister/serve them? Through, prayer, study, and tools such as this book. There were minimal typos. My only negative if you will is what I paid for the book, it needs to be a bit sturdier, when I opened it to read, the seam was already exposed. I will glady recommend this to others. Although the authors audience was to those married, or seeking, this book can be used as a book to aid people in covenant building in the body of Christ. I definitely look forward to more works from this young author.
