This first anthology of alternate Canadian history ranges widely from minor and unfamiliar (to me, anyway) to major events in Canadian history (Plains of Abraham, War of 1812), and ranges occasionally into fantasy as well as SF. The quality of the stories is variable, with the best well worth reading but several rather uninteresting; most are by relative unknowns, with most major Canadian SF and fantasy writers—Gotlieb, Sawyer, Kay, Atwood, Gibson, etc.--not represented, unfortunately. The quality of the editing is poor, as well; numerous slips and infelicities appear.
