This is a excellent book for someone recently diagnosed or for a family member or friend who may want to learn more about AS. But it is very basic. I was hoping it would list my choices of medications by name and dosage, but it is not that specific.
Very informative. There is a list of genes mentioned in the book that increase the likelihood of this autoimmune disease that afflicts the spine. Unfortunately there is no cure, only drug-based treatments, surgery, and excercises for management.
This was exactly what I needed as a new AS-er. Not too much information that I got overwhelmed, but enough information so that I got a clear understanding of what is going on with my body.
