Really enjoyed this view of Australia through the eyes of childhood.
The poverty of the Depression was unbelievable.
Couldn't get over how badly WWI veterans with PTSD or injuries were treated by the people Not the heroes we were told about. So much intolerance. Also all the bullying and fighting at school. Nothing ever really changes though many people look back with rose coloured glasses.
