THE COZY COOKBOOK is a must have for every cozy mystery fan. You will see so many of your favorite authors included. And cookbook collectors will want to add this book to their collection as well. The mouthwatering recipes by these talented authors are simply amazing!

When I first heard this book was going to be published, I knew I had to have a copy. When I got my happy hands on it, I read it through, cover to cover in less than two days.

The chapters cover a wide range of recipes including Breakfast, Breads, Soups, Drinks, Appetizers, Main Courses, Desserts, and more! From super easy to a bit more work, but they all sound so fantastic!

Interspersed among the recipes are many excerpts from books by the contributing authors. I enjoyed getting to read these shared pieces. They helped me learn more about the series they were taken from and the characters involved.

I profoundly hope the publisher will do The Cozy Cookbook Part II!

This is an absolutely beautiful book from cover to cover. The scene on the front cover of a kitchen with a cat and dog is so peaceful looking and very inviting to want to cook there. I can picture baking all kinds of goodies there.

This is a collection of recipes and book excerpts from some of the top bestselling cozy mystery authors today. The book is divided into different sections for different meals and desserts. There are, also, excerpts from each author’s books. Some of these authors I have already read, others have been on my TBR forever. So, many of the excerpts are new to me. It gave a very small taste of what these authors offer in their books and now I’m anxious to read all of them. I wish I could read faster!

If you like to bake, cook or entertain, this is the perfect book for you. Even if you don’t, this is still a great book to have in your collection. I enjoyed it very much. A treasure for all cozy mystery lovers.

This cookbook violates my most basic rule when it comes to cookbooks, and that is good photos. I realize that in my cozy mysteries there are no photos, but the recipes are just a little added bonus. In a full-fledged cookbook you can't get away with that. I was really looking forward to this book and found myself highly disappointed.

This was a great cozy cook book! I liked how they included excerpts from the authors books. It was fun to read ones that I've already read plus get a taste for some new authors, including some that are already on my TBR. The recipes sound great, just don't know how many I'll actually make but there was a wide variety to choose from.

Delicious recipes with a side of mystery is what is in store for you when you read this cookbook. Ranging from Breakfast to Breads, Muffins and Baked Goods to Drinks, Appetizers, Main Courses Side Dishes and Desserts. The best thing about it is the recipes were chosen from the culinary themed cozy mysteries.

With a scrumptious variety of tasty temptations of over one hundred recipes from Today's Bestselling Authors including some of my favorites. The best part about it is not only is it a "cookbook" but it also includes excerpts from various Berkley Prime Crime culinary themed mysteries displaying some of our most favorite amateur sleuths in cooking it up and some great mysteries to solve.

This is a cookbook for the ultimate mystery book lover foodie. So head to the kitchen to out some of these recipes and cook like your favorite character from your favorite cozy mystery.

Dollycas 19s Thoughts

I am so excited to have this cookbook. These authors include great recipes in their cozy mysteries and I try to remember to scan the ones I want into my computer before the book goes on my keeper shelf or I share it with someone else but that doesn 19t always happen. Then it is a case of remembering that I have it or what book it was in. I remember including in more than 1 review that the author should put out a cookbook as an extra book to their series.

I sat down with this cookbook and immediately thought I need some of those Post-it Flags so I could mark the ones I wanted to try. Breakfast, Breads, Soups, Drinks, Appetizers, Main Courses, Desserts are all included in this book, all set up in sections with a fantastic Index in the back. There is also a series list for each of the authors.

I plan to start with the Tinkerbell Cupcakes from Jenn McKinlay 19s Sprinkle with Murder (Cupcake Bakery Mystery) because my husband 19s grandmother lived to be 104 and she always said 1Ceat dessert first 1D. Then I will move on to the Twice Baked Potatoes from Paige Shelton 19s If Mashed Potatoes Could Dance (Country Cooking School Mysteries) and The Best Grilled Chicken Breasts from Crime Rib (Food Lovers 19 Village) by Leslie Budewitz. There are so many more I want to make too. There is something for everyone including gluten free and vegan cupcakes.

There are also excerpts from the mysteries to give you a sample test of any you may have missed or want to revisit.

I really hope this becomes something these authors do again and others jump on the cookbook chuck wagon too.

Other cookbooks to check out are Recipes To Die For: A Victoria Square Cookbook by Lorraine Bartlett, and The Cozy Chicks Kitchen with recipes from The Cozy Chicks. You should also bookmark http://www.mysteryloverskitchen.com/ where mystery writers are cooking up crimes 26 and recipes!

Oh my goodness, what a sweet and deliciously delightful cookbook this is! Eleven of the top cozy mystery authors have joined together to present more than 100 of the most incredible recipes in one place. And in addition to the recipes, each author has contributed excerpts from some of their best books to whet the appetite of their loyal legions of fans!

There are recipes for sweet treats and savory tidbits. Cleo Coyle contributes some of the luscious Coffeehouse Mysteries muffins, Laura Childs includes her wonderful scone and tea recipes, and Soup Lover's Mysteries author Connie Archer has her yummy soup recipes here as well. A little something for everyone can be found here!

This is just a fun book to read through. I love cookbooks, but the added pieces from the authors' books is just the cherry on top! I highly recommend this book!!

I was lucky enough to have won a copy of this and I am thrilled. I haven't tried any of the recipes yet but I already have in mind ones I want to start with. Not only is this book loaded with recipes from various cozy authors, there also excerpts of their various books to give you a taste for their style of writing (which I also recommend their series...hence I wanted this cookbook). There is something for everyone, as with the usual cookbooks you have your divisions of soups, breads, desserts, main courses and more. There is also a list of the various authors series in the back, so if you want to try them, you have the order. This book is more than I expected and can't wait to start trying these recipes.

This is an amazing cookbook! The only two series I have read so far are by Jenn McKinlay and for some reason, I failed to write down the recipes! I added a few new series to my TBR list.

This cookbook has every type of recipe you could want. It's broken up into sections
Breakfast
Breads, Muffins and Other Baked Goodies
Soups, Salads and Sandwiches
Drinks
Appetizers
Main Courses
Side Dishes
Desserts

The book includes an index, series lists and author bios.

Each section has recipes and excerpts from the books the recipe comes from. No spoilers so they get you hooked and want to read more. I've made a few Jenn McKinlay cupcakes recipes and they all came out great! I have a few new recipes to write down after reading this cookbook! It's a must for cozy mystery fans!

I love cookbooks. I do not really cook much and rarely follow a recipe. I do not bake much and again rarely follow a recipe. I do not know why, but I just love cookbooks. I always consider a recipe a guide or ideal starting place. Now one thing I love about cookbooks is the photos. So how could I possibly love The Cozy Cookbook? I can only figure it must be because these recipes are wonderful and I got a sneak peek at some wonderful cozy mysteries. I also found a couple of authors I did not know about and a few series I have put on my must read list.

In this great cookbook the reader gets all sorts of recipes. And to wrap it all up there is a series list with the featured authors and the titles of their books. You get everything you could ever want in a cookbook if you enjoy cozies with a tip towards food. It starts with a note from the editor and dives into a wonderful list of categories. From breakfast, baked goods, appetizers, main courses, side dishes, desserts and even drinks, you have your whole meal in this book. The author bios is a great extra as well.

For all those foodie cozy lovers out there, grab this book. It is brimming with wonderful recipes or as I call them starting points. You will enjoy the entertaining excerpts from several different series. I was lucky enough to find a few new authors and get to visit with some of my favorites. This is a wonderful cookbook that wraps up tons of those recipes in our favorite cozies all in one book. No more running copies of the recipes in your books, no more tearing the pages out and stacking them up somewhere only to lose them later. This is an all in one. Find your next meal, find your next author, find your next cozy series. And if that was not enough reason to love this book, the cover is so adorable too, lol.

*OBS would like to thank the publisher for supplying a free copy of this title in exchange for an honest review as part of their ongoing blog tour*

I have only made two dish so far from this cookbook, the skillet lasagna and the aphrodisiac brownies by Cleo Coyle, as made by coffeeshop owner Clare Cosi, and it is amazing. I've made the skillet lasagna multiple times and it's ruined me for regular lasagna. The brownies are extremely rich, wonderfully so, but don't expect to eat too much at once (unless you can handle it!). That's a good thing, and they were easy to make, even if you aren't that experienced in the kitchen. If you read cozies and like to cook, this book is a must because it includes a wide range of recipes and types of meals as well as mouthwatering details about these detectives. I look forward to trying many more recipes and discovering new authors to devour.

There are three excerpts from books on my reading list included her. Not sure why. The main emphasis of this book is to combine as many recipes as possible from many of the "tea-n-cozy" books now filling the easy read market. Some of the books ( series ) are very well plotted and developed. Others are just fluff with some very difficult to believe scenarios and characters. But almost all have a food tie in during the plot where a meal or snack or something is described as part of the plotting. Am now taking the time to print out some of recipes of interest and most are easy to prepare time wise and ingredients wise.

Some really great recipes! There are also some excerpts from the stories the recipes came from which is great for a couple of reasons. 1st I got to preview authors I'm not currently following.
2nd I got to reacquaint myself with some authors that I haven't read in a while. Very nice!

I so enjoy all of the excerpts in this book. I will be adding a few new authors to my list. I can not wait to try some of the recipes. There are several recipes that I will try just from the description in the book excerpts.

I am in love with this book! The best of cozy mysteries, in my own humble opinion are the ones that not only describe the yummy food but also give you the recipes in the end!

Well now all of our favorite cozy authors are here in one big fat book of not only recipes, but excerpts from their book as well. In the back are listed all of the authors, the series they write as well as their Bios.

My all time fave is the Wild Rice and Pumpkin Pilaf from Town in a Pumpkin Bash by B.B.Haywood.

Some of the authors you will meet: Laura Childs, Avery Aames/Daryl Wood Gerber, Ellery Adams, Connie Archer, Leslie Budewitz, Celo Coyle, Victoria Hamilton, B.B. Haywood, Julie Hyzy, Jenn McKinlay and Paige Shelton.

If you would like to check it out first, I did a search and most libraries have it in stock. If not just ask your librarian to order it. Most will.

Not only have I found some excellent new recipes, but I’ve also found some new authors! It’s a win-win!

I belong to a f2f cozy mystery book group so have sampled many of the authors included in this cookbook. The format was really disappointing. No pictures at all. Divided by types of recipes with actual recipes appearing in some of the series titles as well as occasional excerpts from the cozies cited and a few comments from some of the authors. I only copied out a few recipes from the 100 included. Book contains brief author bios, lists of titles in each series. Indexed by recipe, main ingredient, author, bk title and topic. Nothing I would add to my personal cookbook collection.

This is not your typical cookbook as the mystery authors have inserted excerpts from their works along with the various recipes. It is a clever concept but not for those who just want the recipes. It would be a good book for those seeking new things to try while under a quilt during the cold winter's day.
