I’m fed up with my life in a world where my strength and intelligence are disregarded. When my father attempts to raise his status by forcing my engagement to a prince I despise, I hatch a plan to save myself.
The Dream Stone is a magical item that will help me create the life I’ve always yearned for, and I’m determined to take it. The only problem is that it’s protected by the official torturer of hell.
But when I finally escape to retrieve it, I don’t expect to find a handsome orc waiting in its place.
Glinn
My execution order fast approaches and the only thing that will save me is The Dream Stone.
As a professional Treasure Hunter, retrieving the item from hell should be a normal day for me, but when a small, fierce mortal shows up and stabs me, our lives are forever changed.
Because the moment our blood mixes, we perform the Orcish Blood Rite, and we accidentally seal a mating bond that cannot be undone.
The Orc’s Treasure is a standalone fantasy romance and book one in the Monstrous Matings series. Upon finding out that she’s in an arranged engagement, Catalina is desperate and determined to regain control of her life and she uses magic to run away to another world. When she runs head first into Glinn, an orc treasure hunter, the mating bond snaps into place. But did Catalina just trade one terrible relationship for another?
This was such a fun read! I really enjoyed the world building, the sci-fi vibes and magic system within this story. Catalina was a strong, independent character and I really enjoyed her story. Glinn was such an awesome match for her and I really liked their relationship.
Overall this was a solid 4 star read for me! I really enjoyed the characters and the world! This was a quick read and I found myself wishing it was longer! This book also had spice throughout, so overall three flames for spice
If you’re a fan of sci-fi fantasy with fated mates, insta lust, and found family vibes, then absolutely pick this one up!!
🥵 5/5 This section is new for my reviews and while my spicy rating is based on the type of content, this is strictly how HOT the read was.
CreedReads Review:
This spicy monster romance had me from page 1 and I could not put it down!
Lina’s feisty sarcastic personality is addictive in the best way and she is not afraid to fight for what is important. While this is a being considered a novella you get plenty of world-building and character developed. Side characters are funny and relatable - I hope they each get their own story!
What can I say about our hunk of an Orc, Glinn…Orc Smash! He gave me all the feels and I would bow to this monster any day!
Tropes & Vibes: - Monster Romance - Magic & Accidental Rituals - Unknown Identity - Mating Frenzy - Touch her and die - Guy Falls first - Forced Proximity - Fierce FMC
If this book has taught me anything, it is that I need to read more books with Orc's in them because this was adorably sweet. while also being adventurous and I would even categorize it as an adventurous meet cute.
That being said it does contain some darker elements to the story especially in the beginning as the fmc is treated poorly by her father and basically used as a bargaining chip to gain his social status back. Catalina is set to marry a vile man and she escapes her world in search of a relic of some sort that will allow her to change her future. gahhh the plot was just so flipping good!
it has accidental mating, along with mating frenzy and a strong fmc. I've already started book two!
I'm not normally a fan of orc books but I have to say I enjoyed this one.
I like that Catalina or 'Lina' was a strong female from the get go. I loved how much fight she had in her from the start and it did not diminish throughout the book. Glinn seems like a peach. All protective and caring wanting to give Lina and her friend Ava the world despite how him and Lina ended up being mated. Some parts could have been expanded on and I would have liked a little look into the future now they have returned to Glinn's home planet but that may come in with book two of the series.
This was very fun and nice but the ending was way overcooked. They could have just gone home and agreed to face the world together, instead they became king and queen of a world fmc had never been to, organised to overhaul their entire society and started an intergalactic party to share the worlds culture that is only just being changed? Too much too quickly.

While the first couple chapters were a bore when the 2mmcs meet that is when the fun really begins. Great little adventure story with a possessive yet respectful mmc who does whatever pleases his mate
