This book, back in the day when teaching was teaching, was a very handy guide to holidays, historic facts, and fun facts. It is outdated, yes, but still interesting. It brought back a time when things were simpler in the classroom and children could research and discuss some facts and history by reading books on the topic or person. If there’s an updated version of this kind of book, it would probably be more complicated, more technology related, and the attention span of students would only allow for a 5 minute or less discussion on what the day/holiday was.
