Succinct biographies of pastors with important lessons drawn from their ministries. I enjoyed the 'casual' style which works well as afternoon reading yet still highlights crucial areas of life for pastors and for others. The book works well as a signpost to other more in-depth biographies and primary content from the pastors in question e.g. 'The Reformed Pastor' by Richard Baxter, 'Preaching and Preachers' by Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones.

Well, this is a special book. I've never indulged in such a kind of book. One in a Thousand. I would highly recommend this to a pastor, would-be-pastor, and want-to-be-pastor.
