Reserved this at the library thinking it was a different children's book about China, but it was still interesting. It's a very simplified love story/adventure story/coming of age story that my seven year old understood, about a boy who can paint pictures to life. He realizes (long after most of us) that despite his dream of grandeur, what he wants is within reach all along.
