Billionaire playboy, Matthias Baxter cares about two thing - his brothers and his companies. But when scandal after scandal threatens to upturn a pivotal business deal, the only way to rehabilitate his public image is to find someone to play a dutiful fiancée. And fast. And the last woman photographed with Matthias was his brother’s ex-fiancée, Clarissa Masters. Beautiful. Elegant. And quick with a withering insult. Clarissa has a secret that no one of her past life knows about. And she wants to keep it that way. But what Matthias is offering is exactly what she needs right now. And suddenly, the impossible becomes the only solution. But as they navigate a fiery rollercoaster of lust and loathing, the greatest lesson is Karma’s a b!tch but she has nothing on betrayal. Lust is the third book in the Baxter Billionaire series by Daisy Allen. All books can be read as standalones. No cheating or cliffhangers. And has an HEA.
The first 2 books in this series are pretty good. I definitely enjoyed them. This one? This one was a surprise. After reading the others, I was like, Oh, hell no. This B is not getting a happily ever after. BUT LOOK. This is by far my favorite of the series. What can I say? I love me some enemies to lovers. :P
Matthias is. EVERYTHING. and Clarissa really won me over.
The series could use some editing—especially spelling/typos. (Hit me up girlie. I'm not a professional, but I'd be happy to do a re-read and send notes.)
But if you can look past that, these books have something. The banter is SO CUTE. There are plenty of twists and turns, kick-your-feet and gasp-out-loud moments, some heavy emotion, and the kinky spice is toe-curling.
I can't wait to finish up when the last one comes out. I hope their sh*$%y uncle gets what's coming to him.
This is my favorite in the series. The h is a former OW in a previous book, and the H is very suspicious of her. When he learns the truth about what’s going on, he needs to rethink everything and he comes across as genuinely besotted.
Clarissa has a history with the Baxter family and it didn't end well. She is now trying to start over in New York when she runs into Mathias at a party. Mathias is drawn to Clarissa and wants to know what she has been up to. Sparks fly between them and he is shocked to hear someone say that he is engaged to her. However, when he sees the man hurting her Mathias steps in to help. The more he learns about Clarissa the more he wants her more. Upon learning what has been going on with her since he had seen her last Mathias gets upset. He then makes it his mission to help her and claim her as his own. Yet things between her and his family are complicated and makes them being together a little difficult. Can they be together with so many things against them?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book for Bad Boy Update.
Lust is Matthias story. He has to loves his brothers and his businesses but when a scandal threatens, he has to do PR to get a hold of the situation and a fake fiancée will fit the bill but with who. She has a secret that she doesn't want to come out but what Matthias is offer is something that she needs. As these two lay their course their feelings heat up and what starts off as a deception is anything but. Will their fake relationship turn into the real deal and do they have a second chance for happiness. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
Why do all these books have spelling and grammar mistakes? It’s genuinely distracting from the story.
I like an enemies to lovers but to jump from one brother to the next is kinda insane.
The whole time I was just begging for Clarissa to tell Matthias everything that was happening with Gerry. The third act break up could’ve been avoided completely if she had just been honest with him.
I did like that Clarissa had a redemption story and she was able to talk it out with Damien and the both of them could have peace with everything that happened between the two of them.

A good read. I like this Baxter Billionaire series a lot, as they just get better and better. My one gripe is that it seems like no one proofread these books. There are tons of misspellings and missed words in there. While I'm by no means perfect, I'm also not an author. I would expect that there aren't quite so many mistakes while I'm reading.
That being said, I still loved this read. At first, I inwardly cringed that we would see more of Clarissa, but I loved how we saw her here.
Plot was decent, expected and would’ve probably gotten a 3 or even 4 starts from me, but the typos… I just couldn’t. How do you misspell your main character’s name? Some of the sentences were also structured incorrectly. Did they write this book in one go and then send it off to print?
I loved it. The reason they broke up though was again because of not communicating. His asshole uncle ugh I hate him. He’s the worst I love how he always brought her something to eat because she always forgot or how he helped her while she had a panic attack. He is so cute and thoughtful
What a roller coaster ride of lust, betrayal, deception and finally realizing that what they have is truly love. I now need to read the entire series! I received this RC from Bad Boy Updates.
TBH, I have so many books on my TBR (existing and upcoming releases) that I didn’t even read the blurb for this book, only knowing it was Mathias’s book. I’m actually kind of glad I didn’t since my first thought when I saw Clarissa’s name was pure surprise and maybe just a tiny bit of appreciation.
I thought this was a really interesting direction to take this series. You don’t often see someone villainized/hated in a previous book get their HEA let alone the opportunity to better understand them. This book ended up being my favorite in the entire series so far. It combines so many mini tropes but also many levels of unexpectedness.
Clarissa tried to blackmail her fiancé Damien Baxter but he broke the engagement for the second time. Then her father told her he wanted her out of the house by morning. She could use the jet to fly to New York and stay in the apartment for three months then she was on her own. He froze all her cards. She started a whiskey and cigar club called Malt and was living above it. "Matthias Baxter," is in trouble as he is accused of being a 'manwhoring.as he never has the same woman. He meets Clarissa by accident then goes to her club with a proposition. He goes in the back door and hears a noise then someone says no. When he goes upstairs he sees Patrick hitting Clarissa and her blouse is ripped. Matthias pull Patrick off and starts punching him. This is a great story that I could not put down. I can’t wait to read another book from this Author. I received an ARC for an honest review which I have given
This is Part of the Baxter Billionaire series and can be read as a standalone. But the other books are enjoyable because each book features a different brother. This is Matthias Baxter's story, and it's one you don't want to miss. He has an image problem and concludes that the answer is a fake fiancée. So he convinces Clarissa, his brother's ex-fiancée, to help him out. Knowing she has secrets and is backed in a corner, she really has no choice. The chemistry between them is off the charts. Talk about drama, passion and a roller coaster of emotions. You won't be able to put this book down. The characters are great, complex and likable. No cheating, no cliffhanger to keep you hanging, and a happily ever after you'll love. I read a free book via Bad Boy Updates and voluntarily chose to review it.
Lust by Daisy Allen is a Billionaire Romance is technically the third book from The Baxter Billionaires Series. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but this was so good I’m going to go read the other two as well. (It’s not needed it’s a standalone but it’s just that amazing.) I really enjoyed everything about this book from the plot to the characters to the ending. It was very well done. I loved reading about Matthias and Clarissa working through everything to find their happy ending! This book also had great flow… nothing seemed rushed; or unexplained. Perfect. This was a joy to read and I think it should definitely be added to your TBR!
While this is from a series, it definitely can be read as a stand alone. Matthais and Clarissa's story. Matthias has a reputation problem. His man w****ing ways needs to get out of the press. Clarissa is opening our whiskey and cigar bar but she needs her green card. These two are like oil and water but when they actually give the other a chance, the chemistry is off the hook. This is a wonderful book to read. The characters are likeable even though they do have flaws. The emotions in this one will take you on a Rollercoaster ride. You may never want to put this down until you see if these two can get out of their own ways to see that they are each other's destiny.
What a great book, loved it, was well written and thought out throughout. It had a great storyline that kept you guessing throughout this book. The twists and turns in this book were so good and you never saw them coming at all. The characters were perfect, Clarissa had a lot to deal with, regarding the Baxter family. Clarissa has a history with the family that is not very good. Matthias was shocked with the treatment Clarissa received from her father. He is surprised with how strong Clarissa has had to be, but also with opening her own bar and doing it on her own. Well written and excellent Book. Highly recommend I received an ARC for an honest review
This series can be read standalone. Each book features a different brother.
This one is Matthias Baxter’s story. His image is one big scandal, and he needs to fix it. No other way than a fake fiancée. He convinces his brother's ex-fiancée Clarissa to him.
The chemistry between is amazing. Watching Matthias and Clarissa work through their secrets and past together to get their happily ever after.
The book has been well written and worth adding to your TBR list.

She was kicked out by her father just owned centennial And from there she created a Bar or night club and the Baxter family came back in the light if you read any of the other books you understand the loves the happen between them it's an excellent book don't miss it
I loved this book soooo much!! Talk about a full circle moment. Matthias and Clarissa were made for each other. Through all trials and tribulations their hearts find their way so that they may have peace and happiness......FINALLY!!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this well-written, chemistry-laden fake fiance romance. The MCs are defined, as both are in a situation and need help from the other. I liked this entertaining and engaging book. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
