Curry shop owner Gabriel Solo enjoys dating and romance, but has no intention of falling in love. Especially since he’s living under a curse—every night he turns into a black cat, thanks to the peculiar curse placed on him by an Indian feline goddess.
Turning into a cat has ruined Gabriel’s love life—how can he go out if he becomes short and furry once the sun goes down? And, unluckily for Gabriel, he’s not the only shape-shifter in town!
It just wasn't very good. The main character is a manchild with stereotypically British speech, the story isn't anything special, and neither is the art. I read it for free and although I didn't waste any money on this, I do feel like this was a waste of time. I was just hoping it would get better or be over, and I had to settle for it being over. Will not continue with the series.
I don't recommend, but it's not offensively bad, nor did it make me angry. It was just boring and generic.
It's not bad, but it's hard to believe the premise for a reason I'll detail later.
Gabriel is a rich playboy with a secret. Every now and then he turns into a small black cat due to a curse. For some reason, he is working in a curry shop, and it seems other people who might be interested in that curse are gathering around him. Can this shameless flirt survive long enough to hit on even more girls?
It's hard to believe the existence of shapeshifters is a big secret when every single one of them seem to be drawn with long, elf-like pointy ears. At first you think it's just a weird art quirk, but no, all therians have them. The rest of the story is pretty thin, with a few nice touches. Having the obvious female romantic lead be more serious about her cooking than Gabriel is good, as is the therian fanboy with an obvious mancrush on Gabriel.
You could probably give it 2.5 stars, but it's weaker than the other Seven Seas ameri-manga. On Kindle, it's a bargain price at $2.99, and it has quite a few extras to it. However, only one volume has been released so far, and the series risks being orphaned similar to The Outcast.
Pretty amusing! I cracked up several times. The characters are hilarious, but the plot is eh. I like it though; it amuses me. Maybe I'll get the next volume.
