This four-week, exegetical study is intended for individuals and groups. It features a teaching component that summarizes historical context, defines words, and asks reflective questions to guide in a practical application of God’s truth.
Its comprehensive approach includes a daily individual study and a weekly group study. So that personal study is further enriched in a group sharing spiritual insights, life experiences, and praying together. It’s specifically designed for lay-leaders and requires no extra preparation.

This is a very usable individual and small-group study of Philippians. Chip has made a thoughtful and yet bite-sized study of this important book. I like the daily readings and reflections, wrapped up with a weekly small-group set of questions. The book has four weeks of individual daily readings and questions and then four weekly wrap-up sessions for small groups.
I have always appreciated the extra depth that comes from understanding the Greek words and their often far more expressive connotations than our English translations, and Chip provides those extensively.
I would definitely recommend this for a small group Bible study or even individual study. I appreciate the focus on the scripture as primary and then understanding from that how we should live.
I won a copy of this book from goodreads for an honest opinion
I Felt for me that this guide was better done by myself. It gave me more time to study and understand the material within. However with that being said I do wander what knowledge I could have gained if I were to study with a group. Did I take everything I could from this book? The information in this book is done in little chunks so that you aren't overwhelmed. I think this allows you more time to grow your relationship with god in this book of the Bible.
The "Philippians Bible Study: For Individuals and Groups" is interesting, simple, and flows well. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is easily adaptable for individuals, groups, or even a pair of study-buddies. Chip Tudor succeeded in creating an excellent and thought-provoking resource that I believe will work well with any denomination and most age-groups.
