"I, Madeline Clark, rejec..." I started speaking, but Alpha Dimitri stopped me by placing his hand over my mouth. He pulled me closer to him and growled.
"I'm not accepting your rejection, Madeline," he growled. "You are my mate. You are the greatest gift that the Goddess has ever given me. I am not letting you go."
My heart was hammering against my rib cage. His scent overwhelmed my senses. He leaned in and rubbed his nose up and down my jaw. My skin was on fire. Every part of my body desired to be touched by him.
"I can't let you go, my love," he mumbled. "I've waited for you my whole life."
His lips brushed against the marking spot on my neck, and I almost burst into flames. Convincing him to accept my rejection would be the hardest thing I ever had to do.

What will happen when Madeline finds out who her mate is? What will Dimitri do after she rejects him? Will he be able to convince her to stay? This is book 1 of the story
I am sorry for I am not stronger than Instagram's ads. And while I know that these stories are naught but very corny and neglected, I still enjoy them as one who would never stop enjoying junk food 😔
Critique (spoilery) It's a rushed story that has a decent lining, but there's absolutely nothing that actually happened. Everything that the antagonists were trying to do had no meat attached to the bone, and the protagonists saw and understood what was going on right at the beginning of their conniving and would put immediate actions against it. There's absolutely no actual incident because the fire gets extinguished right before it can touch anything. It was kind of exhilarating until you get to understand that's the whole book and that any incident that could have been used to develop character growth and deepen the story would always get thrown away mindlessly. Sadly, that destroyed the reader's engagement in the story, and I was rendered rather mindless the whole time. But sometimes that's what you seek in a story, to just get you to read words on a white canvas so you can numb your brain and keep going with your day🤷🏼♀️
Rant (big spoilers, don't read) Character development is inexistent, and while Dimitri claims to know and understand Madeline, he somehow is blind to her being abused by his mom for NINE months. 9. Knowing DAMN WELL that his mom is hyper hostile against Madeline (for no apparent reason) even in his presence and knowing that his mom already betrayed him trying to mate him off to some random power-hungry she-wolf. How could he not sense her discomfort? How did he buy her sad excuse of "falling and biting her lips" when this other friend could easily see through her lies. This proves that Dimitri does NOT know her. And knowing he had 9 months, 5 of them actually living in her space, made me question how he did not deepen his understanding of her person when she's been at the center of his thoughts all this time. I understand that this will probably be used down the line in the second book as a plot point in which he will be confronted to the so-unexpected-full-extent-of-his-mom-betrayal... but please, this is so cheap.
*The book description is the ending. Who does that. Who?
That was SO BAD 😞. The history doesn't make sense, the logic is so f# skewed, the female protagonist is a pushover, the male protagonist is freaking dumb like she's my mate I love her so much but he doesn't know or understand her, he sleeps with her every night like seriously that's okay ? And she is aware WTF?! The father was stupid, the stepmother was of course evil but she didn't make sense even the mom like you're so-called fated mate abandoned you and your daughter for a nonsensical reason and after your death you want your daughter to go with him... I can't, the lack of logic in this book is mind-blowing. She was abused by her stepmother and the only person who discovered this after months was the second male lead, the father is clueless, the male lead is clueless... and she takes it because I don't know ... again pushover... Stupid, waste of time, don't recommend. Besides the logic behind the lycan/ werewolf thing doesn't make sense ... again

Found this on AlphaNovel; honestly didn’t know there were kindle versions through Amazon. I’m very upset finishing the 150 chapters on AlphaNovel just to find out it’s not finished. No idea when the next is coming out. Someone said December, but I’m very impatient and if I had known it wasn’t finished I would have waited to read it.
That being said, I love the story. It hooked me. I’m not the biggest reader; honestly haven’t read in years, but I was glued to my phone reading ANY chance I got. I even read during my lunch break. That aside, there are definitely some flaws; including but not limited to, grammar, spelling, and changing names of specific characters during the chapter. It was a bit difficult at times deciphering these errors which caused reading to become frustrating and less enjoyable. The storyline however I did very much enjoy. The characters are very repetitive though and sometimes it just feels like déjà-vu because you’re just reading the same lines from all the previous chapters.
I still plan on reading the rest of the series when it eventually comes out…hopefully I won’t have to wait too long. So unless you’re okay with starting an unfinished series then please wait to read!!
OKI like the story premise. What I don't like is a weak alpha. And this one felt a little clueless. How don't you notice someone being abused for 9 months? How can't you see that your mother is rotten to the core? When you have the title of alpha I expect them to be smart, strong, and thorough. I could be picky. Because I just like to read about alphas. And when you read about strong ones, this 1 just seems a little weak to me. No one likes an alpha with no authority. I liked his love for the female lead; that was sweet. The female lead I like. She's a teen with a strong sense of self in an unfortunate situation (mom died and having to live with a father that left her mom when she was a babe). She wasn't ditsy and I like that. I would recommend the book, it's okay. I bought the second book so I'm looking forward to Maddie's journey. This book kind of gives you a hint as to where it's going, so I'm interested to see how it all works out. I just hope she doesn't put up with the stepmother too much in the 2nd book. Then I'm coming back and going drop some stars on this one.
Ok but the guys, were so oblivious how Maddie was abused by Dimitri's mother, and Savannah🤬 It was infuriating and I'm not really motivated reading more about this🤷🏻♀️
I love Dimitri he let her have the experiences instead of just telling her what to feel, I want someone to beat the crap out of his mom and Savannah. Love Will supporting them too. I hope and pray she gives him a chance he loves her and values the mate bond.
This is an incomplete wattpad story that was published as a three part series/serial(?). So far there are only two parts on wattpad and in publication, no update of the last part anywhere that I could think to check. It’s also labeled/titled incorrectly. It is a dragged out single story that doesn’t really go anywhere. So far there are a lot of issues and I haven’t even explained the actual story yet.
This first part is the introduction of the characters and the struggles the main couple are experiencing for different reasons. The FMC is forced to live with the father who abandoned her and her mother fifteen years earlier after her mother’s death. The FMC’s father’s current wife/choosen mate hates her because she is a reminder of his true mate. The evil stepmother abuses her and schemes to keep her son the alpha away for the FMC.
The alpha/MMC immediately recognizes the FMC as his mate but she is underaged and so he decides not to tell anyone, except his beta, for her safety and has to wait nine long months to have her. He sleeps in her bed at night without anyone knowing, all while he has no clue that she is being verbally, mentally and physically abused by his mother that whole time. You might think he’s a moron but if you allow for the responsibilities he has an alpha, his overwhelming emotions and hormones driving him crazy to claim her, the fact that the FMC works all the time trying to save money to leave, a sweet OM who is in the picture, and the OW and her fake pregnancy with the help of his mother, then you can easily understand that it is possible for the MMC not to notice the abuse. Especially as the evil stepmother and the FMC hide it from everyone.
This part ends with the FMC finding out who her mate is on her birthday/transition day. The FMC’s wolf enters the story but she doesn’t turn, again for safety reasons. So we don’t know if the FMC is Lycan or just a wolf.
The story has errors but is easy to read. There is no intimate moments other than forehead kisses and ONE lip peck by the OM on the FMC. It’s very “young adult”’ish so far. If I had known this was an incomplete story I would never have bought it or started reading it. I just wanted to give readers a heads up so they can decide for themselves if it’s worth their time and or money. I will post an update for the second when I’m done. Good luck.
I am 95% completed and to be honest I wished I had never started, there is a really strong story line here, but the writing is terrible, there are numerous spelling mistakes and poor choices of phrasing, even a number in the middle of a work at some point. There is also a lot of repetition, every chapter recaps on the last.
The storyline itself is strong, Maddie has lost her mother and been forced to live with her dad, unbeknownst to her, the stepbrother she never wanted is her fated mate, which is honoured above all else within the lycan world. However, a large number of obstacles including social climbing she wolves and devious mothers need to be overcome.
The FMC in this particular book comes across a whiny and weak, no substance whatsoever.
This could've been good, if the author worked on this book more and/or implemented an editor. Because - this? This was the level of a first draft.
Phrases repeat themselves on a broken record, sentences are short and always what you are expecting them to be in not so similar style when you have to repeat nice-to-meet-you and it-is-fine sentences over and over again. The main characters are shallow as they can be and there is SO MUCH OF USELESS TEXT. I wish I was exaggerating, but unfortunately, I am not. 50% of the time is the character thinking something and another 50% is repeating it over and over. I'm sorry, but I'm done with this series. :(
Okay so the story was good, I loved the MMC Dimitri, his probably the least chaotic alpha I’ve ever read about. The FMC Maddie was a little weak for my liking, there were so many instances where I just wish she lost her shit and said something!
My main issue with this book was the typos. Literally numbers in the middle of words.
Apart from that though I didn’t mind it, I enjoyed that it was a nice quick read. I would have loved a bit of spice but considering the story line it wouldn’t have made sense so I get it.
I will be ready book 2, it ended on a bit of a cliff hanger and I need to know what happens next 😂 let’s hope the FMC gets some balls!
I think I’ve found my go-to get out of slump card.
Read one of those web novel thingies you see on Facebook. This was literally perfect. It was so shitty I had zero regrets about reading it. Usually when I’m in a slump and I read a book and I dislike/hate it I feel so guilty. Maybe it was the slump rating and not me, I think. But when you read a knowingly shitty book and you hate it, where’s the guilt in that?? I don’t know if you understand what I’m trying to say but. YEAH. An absolute mockery of a novel, but it’s slowly easing me out of my little hole of booklessness. Onto the second book!
Really great read. I was intrigued from Page One. I read it on the Alpha Novel app. I wish I would have known it was available in ebook form on Amazon. I would have saved a bit.
I was a bit annoyed with a few mistakes, one that really caused an issue for the plot itself dealing with Savanah if you know you know.
Another issue I had was name changes. Now, this issue may be in the second ebook from Amazon, but I read it as one whole book on alphanovel. This issue was with the healers name. Maddie says his name is Oscar, then not even 5 sentences later, they are calling him Oliver. It is very annoying.
Bit disappointed that the book is so pricey and is not a complete story. I won’t be buying the rest of the series. Storyline is ok, but very slow paced. Feels like the author has stretched it out in order to profit from readers. I have no objections to buying books, but prefer to buy completed storylines or have a more reasonable price structure for series.
I have to Agee with some of the reviews I had read about the alpha being a little annoying of how clueless he seems to be sometimes about his mother and this book was too incomplete I don’t mind a little cliff hanger but it ended too soon , I know it’s a ploy to get you to purchase the next book,
I really like this book. I wish the storyline would continue. I hate the fact that you have stopped this in the middle of the story. Please finish the book or come out with book 2 or book 3 this needs more series and this
Omg this book is just so good. I think her wolf should have told dimitri what was going on so he can kick his mother to the same place he was sending Savannah. I can’t wait for book 2
I stopped reading fantasy novels a long time ago but then an Instagram ad popped up and introduced me to this. Yeah, I know. It must be Alpha Dimitri and he spotted my weakness... and dropped me with a cliffhanger. Now, I have to read the second book. Ugh!
You know when you are just looking for a read that is just mind numbing and easy. That is werewolf paranormal romances for me. I never expect them to be good and this one was far from award worthy but it was interesting. It was a nice concept. There wasn't anything differentiating this book from other werewolf romances but it was still a nice story. There were a great deal of grammar issues but there was a clear plot so for that, it gets two stars.
Very repetitive and predictable book, absolutely frustrating to read. The main male character is absolutely toxic and the main female character is boring. This book is horribly written and I’m surprised at the amount of 5 star reviews it’s gotten….
Possible this doesn’t need to have as many books but I understand it’s a business . Interesting characters . Happy the main female has backbones but the description are a bit too much . It takes a while to get to the main story .
I love how much Dimitri loves Maddie and how he wants her no matter what. I wonder what he will do when he figures out who has been bullying her this entire time!
Can’t wait to start the 2nd book! I have enjoyed it very much! I have heard the author passed away before the fourth book got written or finished but I still need to keep reading the book 2&3
Overall, I enjoyed most of this book. There were parts that were a little ridiculous to me and that kind of took away from the story. I will finish the series though.
