We’ve made it the end of the Siblings of Heir series and what a wild ride it has been! It has been so cool to be able to read these books by Jenna Lockwood and be a part of her first journey as an author!
This books we finally get to go into the mind of Emmett Wheaton. I really enjoyed seeing his development from being so focused on wanting one thing and being very selfish about his needs to being so open and sensitive to the needs of people around him.
I liked that him and Josie had similar motives going into this story. They both needed to appear in a relationship in order to receive the money and freedom they both craved.
I loved the verbal sparing this two characters had with each other. Their banter was hilarious at times and tension filled at others. It was a lot of fun trying to predict when they would finally give into their desires for one another.
In the end I loved how Emmett and Josie found their freedom in each other and created a home that they each didn’t care to run from! It was really sweet!
Out of all the couples I think Adam and Lauren were my favourite couple!

Fate in Fiction is book three in the "Siblings of Heir" series by Jenna Lockwood. I found it easy to read as a stand-alone novel 😊

Normally I am the girlie that loves a spicy fast paced love story, but I really enjoyed Jenna’s change of pace with a slow burn love story.
I loved that Josie did not take Emmett's sh** . She was so feisty and I loved that she stood up for herself!
The sexual tension between them was so good and kept me wanting more!
Every time Emmett called Josie "Little darlin" I swooned!! That's such a cute nickname!!!
I enjoyed when Josie called Emmett "Rookie".
P.S I will never look at chocolate mousse the same again 😳😳😳
Those final chapters proved why communication is key in a relationship and why without it misunderstandings happen. I cried like a baby at that epilogue!!

Emmett Wheaton, a playboy for so many years has finally put on his big boy pants and started working at his family's resort in Aspen. The once unattainable party boy has met his match in Josephine Callahan, aka Josie. The bantering genes are so strong with these two which is a huge part of what makes them so adorable and perfect.
I love how Josie takes matters into her own hands and approaches Emmett with her plan as to how they can both get their trusts released to them...a fake relationship. Well any romance reader knows how those always end up. I will give it to both of them though....they hold strong for a long time before giving in. I mean a long time! These two are what slow burns are made of because the entire time the tension is so intense....I LOVED IT!!!!!
Getting to see who Emmett truly is on the inside and the fact that Josie, who is a stranger, is the only one he shares things about himself with proved how right they are for each other. Then he goes and does the most selfless thing of all and I just wanted to scream at my kindle but at the same time it had me loving him even more. The lengths he goes to for Josie will make even the smallest of hearts grow to infinite sizes...he is so perfect!

Emmett, how I love when he opens up to his little darlin and then Josie she is sassy and so sweet. She really made that her Rookie found himself.
“I want you. I don’t think you’re hearing me. I want to be with you”.
I really enjoyed this book so much, Emmett and Adam are my favorite Wheaton’s. The slowburn was great, I cound’t stop reading.
And then there is Adrianne, can I please get a book just about her.

Emmett and Josie both have a very similar problem: their parents want them to settle down, and have taken away their trust funds until they do. So when Josie finds out that Emmett needs a way to get access without actually falling for someone, she proposes they fake date so they can both get what they want. But soon, she learns that he isn't as much of a playboy as the world makes him out to be, and he learns that she isn't as innocent as he thought. And when their relationship starts becoming more real, they have to decide if they're ready to give away the freedom they wanted.
one thing I liked: Josie's character. She was just such a strong FMC. She really went after what she wanted and was willing to do whatever it took to succeed.
one thing I didn’t like: I feel like the relationship progression wasn't too good. They were kind of chill with a bit of tension, then their tension went crazy so fast. It just didn't make much sense in my opinion.
I did really like this book, but the other two were just so good that I didn't like it as much. Plus, we don't know or really see Emmett until this book. He's mentioned in the other ones, but we don't really get a good grasp of his character until this book. That made it a bit hard for me to connect with his character.

Loved this series!! Honestly this was my favorite book of the 3. Has some of my favorite tropes, fake relationship, forced proximity, age gap and reformed playboy.
I loved Josie. She is a strong, independent woman, who just wants to gain her freedom and not be forced to be what her family wants. Also love that she is also working hard to work on gaining that freedom and doing what she loves being a mountain top yoga instructor.
Emmet is also a hardworking man who used to be a womanizer/ playboy type. Being forced to have to work hard to gain what he wants, he ends up working harder than was necessary. Turned his life around.
Seeing these two together to get to their similar goals was great. They worked well with one another and promised to not fall for one another.

This is the third and last book in the Siblings of Heir series and follows Emmett and Josie.
Emmett is finally ready to clean up his act after years of traveling and partying to take over as CEO of his family’s hotel in Aspen, but his trust fund has been frozen and he can’t access his funds for his desired helicopter until he checks of a list that his parents have given him. One of those items is finding a woman to settle down with.
Josie is only 20, and has a deep desire to travel the world and get away from the world that her family has made live. Her trust fund is also not accessible until she finds a man to get married to that her parents deem acceptable. She’s against this because she has endometriosis and refuses to be with someone who won’t accept her condition.
Josie talks Emmett into a mutual agreement that they fake date until both of them get what they’re after, but neither of them realize that the close proximity and attraction to each other would develop the way it did.
I really enjoyed this book because of the way things were developed between them. Emmett found her attractive from the beginning, but remained respectful to her wishes even when he was joking, I think it said a lot about the type of man he was with him understanding her need to see the world before settling down.
They both helped each other grow individually a lot, and taught each other what true love and companionship was.
A really good close to the series 🥹

Summary: Emmett, the baby of the Wheaton family, has finally decided to leave his carefree lifestyle in the past and start putting in work for the family business. But even after all of the work he has been doing recently, his family still is not taking him seriously, which means he has no access to his trust fund. That's where Josie's excellent plan comes in. She wants to be able to explore the world and not be tied down by being married to someone of her parent's choosing. So Josie proposes the perfect plan: they will "seriously" fake a date so that their families will see that they have changed their ways and will finally get their funds. As long as no feelings enter their arrangement, all should flow well.
"I don't know if I'm right for you.' It's a pained whisper. 'But you're what I've been looking for all along."
Dani's Thoughts: I have truly loved reading about each of the Wheaton siblings, so I was excited to read more about Emmett after the snippets we had from book 2. I had a little trouble relating to Josie, only because I am so much older than she is, and at her age I did not want to gallivant the world. But I loved how fiercely independent she was despite her upbringing and her determination to live the life she wanted not the one her father dictated. Emmett did flip his ways especially the more he got to know Josie. And even though he might not have reacted to a revelation Josie dropped immediately, he certainly made up for it by the end of the book. The banter between these two, despite their age difference, was so fantastic and made for the best tension. I missed having more of Mallory, but she of course was still there with her perfect one-liners and sass.

Dani's Thoughts: I have truly loved reading about each of the Wheaton siblings, so I was excited to read more about Emmett after the snippets we had from book 2. I had a little trouble relating to Josie, only because I am so much older than she is, and at her age I did not want to gallivant the world. But I loved how fiercely independent she was despite her upbringing and her determination to live the life she wanted not the one her father dictated. Emmett did flip his ways especially the more he got to know Josie. And even though he might not have reacted to a revelation Josie dropped immediately, he certainly made up for it by the end of the book. The banter between these two, despite their age difference, was so fantastic and made for the best tension. I missed having more of Mallory, but she of course was still there with her perfect one-liners and sass.

I think this is my least favourite book out of this series. Although I'm not sure if reading the author's note gave away the story. I liked their natural relationship and the way it developed but this book had my most hated trope. The miscommunication/lack of communication trope. The third breakup act part was just messy.
I hate the fact Josie admits to sleeping with other guys in order to forget Emmett. I also would've loved to see more of the way she stood up for herself against her dad.
Also the story had very little to do with Emmett and his issues with what he overheard his parents say except him admitting his lifestyle because of it. It seemed very unnecessary or out of the loop. Also, Emmett's dream was a helicopter...what? Like, it wasn't something actually worth working hard towards like Josie and her need for freedom after being locked up.
Parts of this was good but honestly the story felt lacking and missing at some points. Anyways, I'm hoping Emery's Book is better since her character seemed more likeable.

Each book reading up to this I always thought that Emmet was exactly how is sibling portrayed him. Then I sat down picked up this book and was blown away, his story about why he acted his way and seeing him grow was such an amazing thing to see.
Josie was such a breath of fresh air, besides the fact that her father was the mayor of aspen, Josie was character that I didn't think I could relate with. The way she held her self made me want to be friends with her.
Emmet and Josie were such the cute couple in their appearances in the last book that it was just so beautiful to see them grow as a couple and how they started out. I always love a good book starting with a fake relationship that is bound to turn into a real one. Each tuff that they had as a couple seemed true to life and eye opening. To me I could see this being a real couple, besides the billionaire part, I could imagine seeing them out in public and thinking nothing of it. Jenna Lockwood has written an amazing book and truly has outdone herself this time.

Why did Emmett and Josie’s story need to end. I’m so sad, I wanted more! I fell so in love with these two and felt all the feels whilst reading their story. I laughed, I swooned and I had tears. There story and Josie’s messaging was utterly heartwarming and written so delicately. I just absolutely loved everything about Josie, she was such a sweetheart and deserved the HEA. Emmett, well let’s begin by saying who doesn’t love a reformed playboy who becomes complete gone for the one. They were playful, had chemistry, banter and their spice was seriously hot. I probably got a bit flushed, just saying. I loved Josie’s bomb too, I was not expecting that to happen at all. I do want to note there was some spelling errors in the book which were a little annoying for me. I’m so glad we got the whole family back in glimpses including little Mallory. P.S Stella was the worst.

This was such a wonderful voice for struggles that 1 in 10 women go through. I am fortunate enough to not be in this group but I felt like this was a nice brush along endometriosis. It was a good toe touching the water but we can easily go research ourselves instead. But to also watch the love show through out this book especially during these moments, it truly had my attention the entire time!!
Author Jenna Lockwood really wrote a beautiful trilogy with this series. I loved all of the books but book 2 and this one really had my attention. It was kinda like we watched the writing style really sharpen up and turn into more of a dream world aspect. That feel like you’re in the book and watching it all happen and then you have to remind yourself that you are not alive in this world. That’s what I mean!

This was a great book. I enjoyed reading it very much. Excellent descriptions and settings. The characters were all interesting to read about and I found myaelf loving thw FMC from the beginning. I will admit at first the MMC was giving strong spoiled rich kid vibes but he redeems himself pretty quickly and by the end has redeemed himself thoroughly.
Dont worry you do get a HEA in this one 💜

Ugh, this was a rollercoaster. I didn’t want it to end. The characters? Literally made for each other. That kind of love that feels written in the stars—so deep and real that when they have to let each other go, it hurts. Like, soul-crushing, lump-in-your-throat kind of pain.
What really hit me was how much of this story feels real. Whether it’s navigating complicated family dynamics, figuring out friendships, relationships, or just trying to find your place in the world—there’s something in this book that’s going to speak to you. And it’s going to hit right where you need it.

Since we didn't get much of Emmett in the first two books, and what we did get from him, I wasn't a fan of, I wasn't very excited to start this book.
That being said, I did enjoy it. Emmett ended up being not so bad. I liked how bad he had it for Josie.
Josie was awesome and I liked how she gave Emmett a bit of what he deserved. They really were a great couple that complimented each other well.
Great wrap up to the series. I really enjoyed the experience! Worth the reads cause these siblings and their large family that developed along the way was a really sweet thing to experience.

I have mixed feelings about this book. It started off strong and is still my favorite in the series. I felt that this relationship was the most realistic of the three books. But I struggled the last part of the book during the third act breakup with how Josie handled it...it felt like her relationship with Emmett didn't matter and was for naught. And I wasn't too keen on Emmett's fundraising idea and what gave him a right to talk about what he wanted to talk about. Regardless, I still enjoyed it, and it was still my favorite out of the three books.

I knew I was going to love Emmet and Josie's story but I didn't realize how much Emmet would surprise me! This man was so much more than he was presented to be in the other two books.

This was such a cute read. I loved Emmet and Josie’s story. The slow burn and tension were great. Josie’s confidence was amazing. I loved how much more there was to Emmet. They were seriously a great couple. This series as a whole was a fun read.

Reformed players falling hard? Falling first? Just my kind of hero! Emmett is such a great guy who had been hiding it underneath his former playboy exterior. He just needed the right woman to come along and turn his world upside down. Josie is absolutely the perfect woman for the job with her soft heart and strong backbone. Fake relationships can go all sorts of wrong, and actually, theirs did for a time, thankfully Emmett learned and proved that he had really changed, was the great guy Josie had fallen for. I loved these two together and can't wait to read more of the Siblings of Heir now.

Fate In Fiction is book three in the siblings of heir series and can be read as a standalone.
Jenna knocked it out of the park with this one. I have loved this series and this book was a perfect addition. The Aspen location felt so real and true to the area. Josie was such a sweetheart and I was rooting for her instantly. She just wanted her freedom and was prepared to do anything it took to experience that even if it was just once. I loved how headstrong she was and how her confidence grew as the story progressed.
Emmett was such a wonderful man, she really was working so hard to do the best he could for his family and Josie.
The excitement I got just getting to see my favorite book child Malloy made my day. I love her so much.
Emmett has called it quits on his partying and typical playboy heiress lifestyle. Now it’s time to get down and busy helping his family tun their chain of luxury hotels. I'd been patiently awaiting the release of this book and it truly exceeded all expectations and more!
From the very beginning Jenna sets the story and both Emmett & Josie's character's up so well, I was completely reeled in from the start!
Emmett was so misunderstood and I really enjoyed learning more about him and how much self growth he had throughout the book. He was a cheeky chappy with the biggest heart and had me swooning on oh so many occasions 🫠

Josie was so strong and determined and I loved her as a FMC. She was extremely self assured and certainly stood her ground and was able to hold her own and oh she could bring the sass!
The flirty banter between Emmett and Josie was so good and had me feeling all giddy. And the tension... ugh the tension!! I loved the back and forth between them and Josie could definitely give as good as she got when it came to Emmett.
I loved how their relationship devleoped and progressed and could feel how much they appreciated, loved and cared for one another. They became fiercely protective of the other and were always in each others corner.

The inner monologue for Emmett & Josie really made my heart ache at times but it made it so full knowing that they found and had each other.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I just love Jenna's writing, it completely captivates me and immerses me in the story every time from the get go.
This was such a fun read and had me smiling, laughing, blushing and made my heart feel all warm and fuzzy.
I'm so sad this series has came to an end, Jenna has created such a wonderful fictional world and I can't wait to see what she does next ❤️

I'd been patiently awaiting the release of this book and it truly exceeded all expectations and more!
From the very beginning Jenna sets the story and both Emmett & Josie's character's up so well, I was completely reeled in from the start!
Emmett was so misunderstood and I really enjoyed learning more about him and how much self growth he had throughout the book. He was a cheeky chappy with the biggest heart and had me swooning on oh so many occasions 🫠

Josie was so strong and determined and I loved her as a FMC. She was extremely self assured and certainly stood her ground and was able to hold her own and oh she could bring the sass!
The flirty banter between Emmett and Josie was so good and had me feeling all giddy. And the tension... ugh the tension!! I loved the back and forth between them and Josie could definitely give as good as she got when it came to Emmett.
I loved how their relationship devleoped and progressed and could feel how much they appreciated, loved and cared for one another. They became fiercely protective of the other and were always in each others corner.
