In a matriarchal society where children are conceived by scientific means and men are considered unnecessary, Erism is an outcast. The first in the holy city of the planet Ternat to be born of both a man and a woman, Erism is shunned by her peers and treated as though she were unclean, unholy, and unfit for her birthright– to walk amongst the stars. When Erism is finally granted permission to walk her star path, a full seven years later than traditional, Erism has hope that her days as an outcast are done. But she can’t begin to fathom what awaits her in the Void. Infinity is a short story about sisterhood, bravery, and reaching for the stars.
Such an entertaining and unique concept! I was a little bit sad it's a short story, I would have liked to read more about this world the author created.
The world building in this was incredible and by the first page I was already immersed. It is a short story so it was necessary to build the world quickly and I felt like it was the perfect amount of explanation as well as assumption of what was to be understood about the universe. I’ve never read anything like it before.
This short story was amazing! I couldn’t put it down after I got started reading, I just had to know what was going to happen. Even though it was just a short story, the author did amazing at showcasing the world she created. It made me wish I could walk among the stars! I could read a whole series, it’s that good!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this short story. it reads very fast, not only in length, but story flows quickly and keeps you engaged. The writing was well done, the scenes were easy to visualize, and the story gives a beautiful message of perseverance, and finding beauty in yourself and circumstances no matter what.
Super awesome short story for any fan of fiction books! I loved how descriptive it is! Descriptive to the point where when the main character gets goose bumps the reader does too. Can’t wait for a sequel!
Fascinating and imaginative story! The world building was clear despite the story’s shorter length, and I stayed engaged throughout. I would love to revisit this universe!
