This book is a just-fine way to talk about and encourage listening. I like that all three activities proposed by mom, dad, and sibling end up being really fun for Little Elephant when he does them. I also like that both mom and dad tell Little Elephant it's time for bed. He has a full day and a sound sleep. Good for Little Elephant.
I would read these aloud when my kiddos were little and now that they are independent, early readers they love to read them by themselves. Simple sentences and wonderful lesson.
This book teaches the benefits that come from listening to others. The genre is a picture book. It's a social-emotional book for young kids to learn how to listen; to learn that listening makes life more fun and enjoyable. I rated it 5 stars because I think it can be a useful to tool to teach the skill of listening to young kids, while keeping it intriguing and fun. Good for kids in pre-k.
great story about listening to what others ask of you. family, elephants, listening skills, simple phrases, would be great for toddler or baby storytime.
A book in a set that teaches early manners and courtesies in a cute way. We read these all one more time before gifting them to the new baby next door.
My daughter and I love this series of Hello Genius books. Really cute pictures and simple text makes this a good read for infants. My 1 year old was entertained by the colors and pictures. I love that each story is entertaining, yet also teaches a lesson (in this case, the benefits of listening to others, especially your parents).
