Eve Collins has a busy life, she is a counsellor a job that takes a lot out of her and her dear Father passed over 6 years ago and as her father lay dying she makes a discovery that puts an end to her relationship with her mother who she now calls Glenda. Her brother is going through a crisis, an ex boyfriend who betrayed her, so when the opportunity comes up to visit her friend in Greece she jumps at the chance and takes her brother with her.
At the same time Gianni in Italy makes a shocking discovery that drives him straight to Greece. He is in turmoil and there are other factors going on.
This time away makes both Eve and Gianni take stock and others too have revelations and for some they are life changing.
This was not a fast read but an engaging one that I savoured and it shows how the pain of grief, loss and deceptions are often found out.
Eve soon realises the harsh lesson of assumptions and reading things all the way through. So much has gone wrong in her life that she has forgotten to live and has filled her life with more than one job. As her time goes on in Greece is there a possibility of a romance and is it just for the holiday?…
This is my first book by Baggot and I really enjoyed it! Now I wish I wasn’t married so I could go to Greece and find a holiday romance! Baggot made it sound so wonderful. Not just the romance, but Corfu itself. Baggot writes the perfect plot that makes you want to cozy up with a blanket and get lost in the book. I read this one so fast because I couldn’t put it down! I really liked all the characters in the book, even if I didn’t like them at first, they eventually grew on me as I learned all about them. Eve and Gianni are so cute together; they have great chemistry. The extra special plus in this novel is how much the animals are loved and cared for. It was so sweet how everyone came together for the animals and how the animals really help people. I would recommend this book to anyone that’s a sweet romance, with a lot of flirtation. I can’t wait to read another Mandy Baggot novel!
During the winter months it is stories like these that keep me going until I can set foot once again in Greece. This story has the added bonus of a super rich Italian hero. With a stressed heroine and a menagerie of animals to look after, this book doesn't initially have the makings of a romantic idyll. However, like all good stories, romance develops but is it what either of them is looking for? An easy to read story that is engaging and satisfying.

My Thoughts : Bring a huge fan of Mandy Baggot, I am always excited to read her new release. This did not disappoint!. Here we meet Eve Collins, who is off to Corfu with her brother Ben to visit her friend Gabby, who runs an animal sanctuary out there. She decides she needs the break after being exhausted from her job working as a Counsellor. Throw in the handsome Gianni Riccardo, who is visiting from Italy after his dad mentioned a man to him on his deathbed. Having no name or any information Gianni feels he needs to find this man and get some answers. As we follow Eve and Gianni’s journey, we get to know them both better and what brought them to where they are now. There is an undeniable spark between them and they make the most beautiful couple. But will either of them embark on their feelings or is the trip just about finding answers and peace!?. Once again Mandy Baggot whisks us away to the delights of Greece, full of beautiful food and surroundings. She drops us right in the thick of the action with delightful characters that make you feel like they are friends. This is one escapism read to be had by all. Cant wait for more very soon.
I am addicted to Mandy Baggot's books, always a wonderful dose of Corfu sun every time and just the kind of plot you can get lost in for a few hours. Packed with Greek humour, food, community, goats and a perfect romance, Under A Greek Sun delivers everything you'd want in summery fiction and was my perfect drizzly March antidote
Really enjoyed this book. Loved the characters and the depth of the backgrounds of each of them. I was on holiday in Kos whilst reading this. I love books about Greece as, when written correctly, I can imagine everything because I have been in the sea, seen the colours, smelt the flowers, eaten the food. Mandy hit the nail on the head with everything. Looking forward to reading many more by this author, a new fan for sure!
I love books that transport you to a different setting and makes you feel like you’re really there. I’m going to have to put Corfu and Verona on my travel bucket list now! Cute rom-com that felt realistic, not Hallmark-y.
Mandy Baggot is truly a great romance author, and in general a wonderful character creator. This new novel is another delight set on the Greek island of Corfu.
Eve needs to escape from her daily life. Gianni abandons his life to discover his previously unknown roots. They are both so cute, especially when they try to ignore reality and live in their own bubble.
Eve has so many internal and external conflicts (her grief over her father's death, her anger at her mother, and her concern for her brother) that she's really a great character.
The secondary characters are really good, I liked the parallel between Eve and Gianni's story and Pan and Valentina's. The animals are also very present secondary characters in the story and bring most of the comical aspects to a story that otherwise refers to quite serious topics (addictions, grief, adultery, ...).
Thank to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for providing an eARC in exchange of a honest review.
Under a Greek Sun is my first Mandy Baggot novel and I cannot wait to read more. I have read a few novels of the same genre set on the Greek Island of Corfu, so I love to see each author’s take on this island paradise. The setting alone puts the reader in a nice escape-mode as the backdrop is described nicely and makes you want to take a trip yourself. As for the story, it follows counsellor Eve Collins who takes a trip there with her brother Ben to have fun with her best friend Gabby. While Ben joined unexpectedly, Eve is still determined to enjoy herself. After arriving on the island, they meet Gianni, heir to a coffee empire, who is there to find answers to his past.
In this story, there are two main characters, Eve, and Gianni, with the two main secondary characters, Ben, and Gabby, plus a group of other characters who either are connected to the others or are background ones in each setting. While there is some information about why Eve and Ben need this break away from home, I feel there is still not quite enough given about Eve. She seemed to have a lot more demons that she is dealing with beneath the surface, yet the novel does not quite go there to explore them. As for Gianni, he is going through his own issues, and I love how the story goes through their individual journeys along with the two characters getting to know each other.
On Corfu, they visit the animal sanctuary ran by Gabby. I loved the addition of animals into the story, and it was great to add their personalities. There are great moments involving the animals that provide a nice break from the human-side. For animal lovers, like me, this was a great bonus. With all the subplots in the story, there is a lot going on, but they did not feel like fillers. Each felt like they belonged, however, the story was not long enough to into a lot of detail for each. Overall, this was a great escape read and romance. This was a fun introduction to the author, and I cannot wait to read more.
**I give a special thank you to Netgalley and the publisher, Boldwood Books, for the opportunity to read this entertaining novel. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.**
Handling heavy topics in a light-hearted manner, Under a Greek Sun by Mandy Baggot touches on discovering family secrets that affect one's identity and the struggles of caring for a loved one who had a gambling addiction. This story also shows readers that love needs to be chased after.
Summary: Eve Collins visits the island of Corfu with her brother for a holiday to unwind. Gianni Riccardo finds out his biological father is from Corfu and travels there to find him. The two meet and start to fall in love.
Tropes/Genres: • strangers to friends to lovers • rich guy (coffee company ceo!) • family secrets • contemporary rom-com • chick lit • summer holiday romance
Review: This book is so cute. I love Eve and Gianni so much. They have such great chemistry! I love all the coffee talk in the book (even though I don't drink it). Gianni is the CEO of a coffee company, which is probably a plus for all the coffee lovers out there. He knows good coffee.
I really felt for Gianni as he struggled with his newfound Greek heritage (his biological father is Greek), having thought all his life that he was fully Italian. I could see him trying to hold on to his identity and pride as a full Italian, just like his father Riccardo Riccardo. (Why are his name and surname the same? I don't know. Is this common in Italy? I don't know.)
The characters in the story are so lovable, especially the animals! The author really brought this fictional Corfu to life with the fun, unique and interesting people and many different animals. Pan is such a great character, and I felt for the lessons about love that he learned and passed on to Gianni. I'm glad that everyone eventually had a happy ending. Here's a special shoutout to Savage the Bird! He is such a mood. I find it funny whenever he's mentioned because he sounds so scary. Oddly hilarious.
I recommend this book to people who want a good summer holiday romance read about two people who learn more about themselves in a foreign place.
I really wanted to love this book and I honestly wish I could. Unfortunately, things don't always go the way we want them to.
Under a Greek Sun has everything that usually makes a good book for me, the exotic setting and an interesting story. However, this time it didn't work. The plot was intriguing and the characters backstory made me curious, but the writing style threw me way off the path. I couldn't connect with the main characters the way I should, mostly because I spent a lot of the time trying to work around the way it was written. This book felt largely like a chore to be done and not a reading to be appreciated. Honestly, I tried my best to enjoy the story despite the issues I had with the style, but it was very difficult. I even had to stop in the middle of my reading and pick up another book, so I could try to relax a little, before coming back to this one. Which is so out of character for me, because normally when I start one book, I rarely mix it with another, I want to finish what I started as soon as possible so I can know what happens in the end. Sadly, this one was not for me. Even with the nice greek/italian setting, which are 2 of my dream countries, I couldn't really savor the beautiful places because I was stuck with the weirdness of the writing. Normally, I don't have a big issue reading 3rd person, even if I prefer books in 1st pov, but this one was so hard to read. I felt almost miserable to not be able to enjoy a book with such a awesome background and entertaining cast. It was my first Mandy Baggot book and regrettably I don't think I will try another one so soon. This is not a bad story, but it wasn't my cup of tea at all in the writing style department. I kind of wanted to know more about the other characters and the future of the main couple, yet I'm not sure I will be able to read another book with the same style. Maybe in the future I will make another attempt, although I'm still not really sure about it.

Under a Greek Sun is the perfect escapist romance read.
This book was an absolute dream to read. It just took me back to my trip to Greece, making me want to pack my bags and head back there again. Mandy did a great job transporting her readers to Corfu and Verona. I felt like I could feel that warm ocean breeze on my face and smell all that delicious food being cooked. It just helped satisfy that travel itch I’ve been feeling lately. I loved getting to explore Corfu and Verona with Eve and Gianni. I have also added Verona to the places I must visit list.
I loved the overall story. It was so interesting getting to spend time with Gabby and Pan at the animal sanctuary farm in Corfu. All the quirky animals were delightful and added some fabulous comic relief. Because Eve wasn’t spending time in traditional touristy areas, we got to interact with locals in Episkepsi, which was a hoot at times. There was a surprising amount of drama and twists in this book, and I enjoyed all of it. I also loved that all that drama didn’t weigh down the overall story. There is plenty of family drama in this, and some of it deals with more challenging issues, such as addictions, gambling, grief, and infidelity. I thought Mandy did a great job addressing these issues and showing readers how complex they can be.
I just adored everything about Eve and Gianni’s love story. There is something so wonderful about a vacation love story. Not only are we getting swept away by the beauty of the location, but we also get all those warm fuzzy feelings from the love blooming between the two main characters. Eve and Gianni just click for me. I felt their chemistry leaping from the pages and loved watching them explore Corfu and Verona together.
Under a Greek Sun is a fun and fabulous romance book and a wonderful addition to anyone’s book collection.
This book was a very special treat that had me tasting the wonderful Greek food and enjoying the feeling of the sun on my skin. Granted, I never left home but I felt like I was actually on Corfu. I particularly enjoyed the story where it revolved around the animal rescue centre. The mysterious board who never actually attended to carry out their inspections and the wonderful array of mischievous animals. They kept me entertained with their antics. Eve was a wonderful character who truly needed her break in the Greek sunshine, having been worn out by her job as a counsellor. She is now intent on relaxing with her best friend and her brother. Despite the fact that Ben, Eve’s brother wasn’t originally included in the itinerary, it was good to see their relationship strengthen. We then meet Gianni, tall, dark, and handsome he was visiting from Verona, Italy. His motivation was to seek out a man mentioned to him on his Father’s deathbed. He has no name or idea how he’s going to track him down, but he really must. There is a wonderful chemistry between both Eve and Gianni, and I was certainly hopeful that they make take a leap of faith and get to know one another better. I certainly didn’t spot that Ben had any romantic overtures, but they worked perfectly. For me, the stars of the story were the villagers. Dabbling in tarot, there is plenty of fun to be had from seeing their predictions and interferences come to fruition. They were a wonderful group who had me smiling each time they appeared on the pages. I was left feeling contented by the twists and turns in the book and adored the way in which all the characters interacted to bring a truly marvellous story to a perfect conclusion. There’s a lot going on but there’s nothing complicated about it and the story just washes joyfully over you. Mandy Baggot, this is another smashing story.
Eve Collins takes a break from her mundane life can't wait for some downtime on the Greek island of Corfu with her best-friend Gabby. Eve might have to start mucking in…Since eves brother has a gambling problem she decides its best for ben to accompany her on the trip so she can keep a close eye on him. Gabby’s job at the animal rescue centre keeping her busy. Eve now has to face the demons she has been running away from.
Gianni, heir to a coffee empire has his life upended when his dying father makes a shocking confession Gianni arrives in the village of Episkepsi looking for answers from his past. As Eve and Gianni get to know each other their initial attraction starts to turn into something more. But with so much family drama in both their lives, neither of them were looking for a holiday romance.
Eve collins a counselor and a bar owner. She is generous kind-hearted and compassionate. Gianni a coffee connoisseur and a perfect gentleman. he is sophisticated, chivalrous and polite. I liked this book, it transports you to a beautiful island in Greece with amazing food, lots of goats and beautiful scenery. People on this Island were either wise or intuitive, everybody seemed to have their spidy senses tingling either way I loved it. The subplots and side characters weren't just fillers. They each had their own issues and obstacles to over come. Overall this was cute story with exotic locations and characters with a lot of baggage. What I didn't like was the romance in the book. It fell flat and didn't intrest me that much.
I am a huge fan of Mandy Baggots book set in Greece. I think I have almost read them all and I keep being enchanted by them. Mandy’s books set on the sun soaked island of Corfu always give me instant holiday vibes. And I think that this is how you should read this book. As a quick and easy read by the pool or even at home in the rain to drift of to sunnier destinations. These books aren’t going to win any literary prices, but they are the ideal book to lift any gloomy mood you might be having. As it should be Under the Greek sun is filled with the kind of tropes that you expect from a romance, holiday novel. • Miscommunication • Instant attraction • Holiday Romance • Family problems It has it all… but I don’t care. I gobble it up. If you want to stay in the holiday scenery, well let’s compare this book to drinks. Under the Greek Sun is that way to sweet Strawberry Daiquiri that is served with a parrot on a straw. It’s not a sophisticated glass of wine with 100 different flavors, but it is perfect for what it is supposed to be! In this book I think I loved the side characters even more then the main couple we follow. I honestly think I could devour a whole book about the Greek Trio that hangs around in the village café and predicts the future! Also Gabby… I need a whole book about her! Please, can the next book set on the lovely island of Corfu be about Gabby! If you are looking for a fun, sunny romance, then this is the book you should pack in your suitcase this summer! Thanks to Mandy Baggot, Boldwood Books and Rachel's Random Resources for my eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.
Ah the queen of the Greek summer romance is back, and this is another utterly fabulous book, from one of my auto must read authors.
I absolutely adored this book, it has some many great storylines running through it, not just Eve and Gianni's who we see up close, but also Ben, Pan and Gabby. Add in also a mix of animals at the rescue centre and some totally adorable moments and you have a cracking story.
The Corfiot small village setting was just perfect, and I was especially amused by the trio that hang out at one of the local tavernas, including Aleka who is convinced she can predict things, and the gentleman who can only seemingly speak one phrase of English, and it's certainly one I've heard in various countries before, normally at market stalls.
Gianni and Eve both have to come to terms with things in their families, as life as they know it gets shaken up considerably. And Eve's brother Ben who has been brought to Corfu with Eve, so she can keep an eye on him, really seems to come into his own at the animal sanctuary.
With excellent coffee, a real coffee connoisseur, delicious Greek food, and a story that spans three countries, this really is a feast for all the senses.
Especially sight, given how fit Gianni is! Both Gianni and Eve need to leave past hurts behind and try to trust in this fledgling connection between them.
A complete joy to read, I had a ball reading this book.
Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
I've reviewed so many Mandy Baggot books over the years that I knew I wanted to review her latest novel, too.
Under a Greek Sun is a novel that had me gripped at the start, and then the pace seemed to lag a little after Eve and her brother Ben's arrival in Greece. Then it picked up again. their backstory was so interesting and I was fearful of their mother for much of the story. Then I felt for her with the reveal that came later on. I wasn't expecting it.
I agreed that Eve's family circumstances were ones where a break would be needed, and the way the Greek holiday was woven in seemed to be in just the right way and at just the right time.
I always love how Mandy Baggot details Greece and everything about it seemed to jump off the page as it always does in her books. Food, weather, customs,, towns and cities....it was as if I was there. The animal sanctuary was so atmospheric and I loved all the parts where animanimals were cared for.
Italy was very immersive and breathtaking too. I wanted Eve's ice cream she had in Italy!
The book was special in that it's set in three countries. England, Greece and Italy. The links between the three were very well explored within the plot.
I liked all the characters and they were all very well fleshed out. They're all people to root for at some time in the story. They all have clear personalities, strengths and weaknesses.
I did feel for Gianni and his backstory was and situation with his father's death and the coffee company and his inheriting it was dealt with in a wonderfully sensitive way, as were most of the tougher life issues characters characters have to deal with or have been/are going through.
The story had some very clever and emotional twists and turns and I was hooked. I could feel myself tear up at some points and it was like I couldn't get enough of the story at many points.
Eve and Gianni...what can I say? They are an amazing and beautiful couple. Ben's story was compelling too. And Gianni's parents' story was one that was well woven in to the plot and romantic. Pan's story was unique.
I was sad to finish this novel and it's the kind of story I'd go back to again and again.
Emotional, feelgood and unforgettable.
Thanks to Mandy Baggot, Boldwood Books and Rachel's Random Resources for my eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.
5 stars. I'd give it more if I could! The perfect pick-me-up for any season or a great beach read.
I received an advance review copy for free thanks to Rachel's Random Resources and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

My Opinion
Mandy Baggot strikes again with another fabulous Greek summer romance. The descriptions alone are enough to whisk you away for a lovely trip. I read this book over a few sittings but each time I always wanted to read just one more chapter. Mandy Baggot has written a great, uplifting book with some twists. A real joy to read. This would make a great holiday read.
it’s my turn on the blog tour today for this fab book and I am totally wishing I was in this pretty cover! ☀️🇬🇷
I really enjoyed reading this and do love a good romance, especially when there is a travel element to it. I thought it was an hilarious meet cute, where you could feel the chemistry right away.
I enjoyed getting to know all the characters, I felt they were all really likeable. I also felt it had such a warm community spirit feel. As well as the warmth of the book it also had some deeper issues which was a great balance. Mandy got this spot on.
The descriptive writing of all things Greek made me feel like I was there at the tavernas in the villages; with the delicious food, ouzo and the love of the local people. The food was mouth watering and Mandy took me right back to my Greek eating days when I lived in Cyprus with the mention of all this.
It’s definitely a book to pick up this summer and it will make the perfect beach read or a great read during these awful rainy days wishing we were on a Greek Island.
If you love a great romance in a stunning, beautiful location with lovely descriptive writing of the setting and food then you will love this.
Corfu is on my list and Mandy made it sound wonderful.
Favourite quote which is so true; Without the highs and the lows, there is only ever “OK” and who wants only “OK”?
Honestly, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story is not just about two people falling in love but also shows realistic complexities and baggage in their lives that make the story interesting and intriguing. It is not just about the physical attraction between them but more of a cerebral understanding and I think that is what pulled me into the story.
The main characters were beautifully written with enough background given to each of them. Of course, the Greek setting makes it all exotic. I googled Verona and the Piazza Bra and it was such a treat! But what impressed me was that it wasn’t just the high-profile tourist destinations but the attention given to the everyday life of the Greek people in small towns- the farm, the animals, the heat; everything fit into the story perfectly. To sum it up, I would say that Under A Greek Sun is a book for people who like to read sensible, evolved romance rather than erotic stories.
I am thoroughly impressed by the writing style of the author. I mean, the story began with nowhere near a Greek holiday, but it all came together soon and then just took off. I couldn’t put the book down. I will definitely be reading the author’s other books, I urge you to do so too, if you are into romance.
Eve works two jobs, and as much as she likes her life, it's time for a break. Her best friend Gabby works at an animal sanctuary in Corfu and is eager for her to visit.
Eve imagines a relaxing time on the beach, but it's a bit more chaotic than that. Not only is Gabby spread too thin and in need of help, but she also took with her brother, who lost his job. She is desperate for them to connect, but nothing seems to work.
And then there is Gianni, an heir to the coffee empire in Italy, who just lost his father. His life was shaken by his dead bed request, for Gianni to find his biological father. He had no idea and his whole identity goes through a wringer.
Under a Greek Sun is a love story, of two very different people finding each other in the midst of chaos and falling in love. But before their could a HEA, they both have to deal with their past and family issues.
There is mad chemistry between the characters and the sparks just fly from the screen. The story deal with heavier issues, but in a light tone. The writing is very addicting, I couldn't put the book down.
I give this a 3.5. This story was enjoyable and had meaningful lessons that each character was facing in their lives. The way she blends the interconnected paths of everyone is quite seamless. Some of the spicier parts were realistic which I liked, but didn’t go into much detail. So if you’re looking for a HOT read, this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for a cute read with a good plot, this is the book for you!
There are two reasons why I didn’t LOVE this book. One is it feels like there isn’t enough substance behind Eve and Gianni’s love story. Their conversations aren’t that deep for most of the book, and when they describe how much they like each other, I often had to ask myself “why?” Sure, their reasons as to liking one another were stated in the book, but it seemed general and like it was sort of coming out of thin air. The second reason why I didn’t absolutely love this book is because *some* of the sexual innuendo was very much YA. I can’t remember verbatim what it said, but the book referred Gianni’s *member* as an eggplant, and something with it not being “ready.” A bit cringe to me personally but hey, if it floats your boat…
What a gorgeous read - The kind I hope you also need. With family drama, secrets and more Corfu sunshine and great romances to explore!
Gabby is running an animal rescue, Eve had been looking forward to visiting her, too. She hadn't anticipated taking her brother Ben But something is going on for him again!
There are great animal characters and humans, too, As the Greek sun warms hearts and gives new things to do. Surprise revelations as their fathers died, Leave their family aware that they lied.
Seeking the truth, Gianni hopes to discover Just who is his father, his mother's lover. Eve is worried about Ben's secrets, too, And is totally unsure just what to do.
Will romance develop under the Greek sun? There are puzzles galore and jobs to be done. Get ready for laughter, tasty treats and more As Greek customs these once strangers together explore.
A heartwarming read that is delightful and great To read it yourself I recommend you don't wait! For my complementary copy, I say a huge thank you, As I share with you this, my honest review.
Eve turns out to be an interesting character who has her vulnerabilities and I particularly liked the way that you could understand her adult behaviours when you knew the full story of her early years. Perceptive and tuned in to others’ problems, she has been struggling to cope with her grief at her father’s death. Wary of trusting men, she has buried herself in a version of her life which feels like her safe place. This has made making new relationships hard.
Alongside Eve’s story, we have Gianni’s which turns out to be surprising. He has come to Corfu looking for answers. All his ideas about his childhood have been thrown up in the air. Corfu is a delightful setting for the story and there are plenty of locals to add humour and colour. Family is an important component and there are several relationships to follow. This is a great read for the coming Summer.
In short: secrets from the past have far reaching consequences Thanks to the publisher for a copy of the book
Eve Collins takes a break from her life she can't wait for some downtime on the Greek island of Corfu with her best-friend Gabby. Eve decides her brother Ben needed to go with her because he has a gambling problem and she needed to keep a close eye on him. Gabby’s job at the animal rescue center keeps her busy.

What a beautiful match to get to know in the Greek Sun.
the summer fling or not. Corfu sounds so good, I wanted to go too. This book talks about loss of a loved one and how each person react and cope from experiencing the catastrophe loss.
But the part about whether they wants a relationship or not, really there were no such struggle, only of how they are actually soulmates for each other.
Eve's brother came on the trip too because Eve was afraid he refer back to his ways of gambling. But the truth was that he has anxiety attacks and that he was ashamed to let his family know. He also let the big secret about their Dad out to Eve and brought down the pedestal Eve has for her Dad. But it also helped mend the rip between Eve and her mom Glenda.
Really enjoyed the book. I especially liked Pan, the animals in the shelter, the blind woman who can see the future, and the Parrot that decided to stick around even though he is free to go wherever he wants.
Eve and Gianni find themselves in a tiny Greek village on Corfu, each with their own reasons. Eve’s burned out from her job and life in England, and accepts her friend Gabby’s invitation for a visit. Gianni learns a life-changing family secret from his father on his death bed, and sets off for Greece to see what he can uncover. Neither has the time or energy for romance. But love can be sneaky…
The romance between Eve and Gianni was beautiful and fun, but even better was the rest of the story and Gianni’s reason for visiting Greece. He’s there for answers, and that part of the plot really helped everything else fall into place. Then you add in the chemistry, the intriguing cast of characters, and even some local village psychics, and you’ve got an entertaining story!

Torn between 2 and 3 🌟 on this one. This story had the potential to be great but it didn't really keep me engaged. There were too many different conflicting story lines (3 different romances, multiple itterations of characters with family drama and attempts to maintain a long term friendship) and it felt like maybe it was a second book in a series (still unclear if this was actually a stand alone). The Greece and Italy settings were wonderful, but the story didn't focus enough on one plot that it took a lot longer to make it through than one would have expected. The conflict/resolution felt rushed and I wish it had an epilogue! The potential here for a fun hallmark-y romcom that checks all the boxes was very real but ultimately fell a little flat for me.
Thank you Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC in exchange for my review!
