I felt nothing for any of them. The whole reveal as to why Mercy was gone was so bland LMAO.

I really wanted to like this book more than I did. It's sweet and steamy but I felt it just didn't tie up the loose ends of the 10 years in a satisfying way. Without spoiling anything, I'll just say I think it would make sense if Griff and (especially) Mercy had more interest in finding out about her life all those years. That said, it's not the kind of book you read for the realism, and my expectations were probably high because I've loved Pippa Brook's other books. Still worth a read, but I'd recommend also checking out her other books in the same setting.

Mercy & Griff 😘

I really enjoyed this book, though I had my doubts initially. At first, I was unsure about the direction of the plot and skeptical about the central relationship. However, as the story unfolded and I learned that Mercy had a justifiable reason for leaving Griff, my perspective shifted. By the end, I was fully invested and pleased with how things turned out. The plot was compelling and well-executed.

What was lost always is found

Griffin is the head of the fire department. He basically works his life away since Mercy left him 10 years ago.

Mercy had reasons to be away which she didn't remember because she has amnesia. After she is brought to the hospital she ends up staying with Griff.

It doesn't take long before she is found and answers are revealed.

Tempt Me Twice is fiery and spicy with a twist of mystery. Griff has been a grumpy bitter man in so many other books because Mercy left him ten years ago without a reason. He buried himself in work and let everything else go under his pain and grief. He is a shell of a human, and that character has been very well-written. Mercy with amnesia is a confusing person, and rightly so as she doesn’t remember anything for the last 10 years. Her sudden reappearance is delightfully chaotic, and while I am happy Griff finally has her back in his life, they are sliding down a slippery slope. I can totally understand why Griff would have reservations and be afraid to open up again after such trauma. Getting answers to the mystery is the primary goal here, and it’s apparent in the writing. It’s interesting how the story develops, and the twists are engaging.

Tempt Me Twice is a short and steamy, OTT, second-chance, curvy girl gets her firefighter romance. Phoenix "Griff" Griffin is a grumpy, hunky firechief. Mercy is a curvy girl with amnesia and Griff's ex-fiance who disappeared 10 years ago without a trace. When she shows up 10 years later injured and looking for him, he is upset. She has amnesia and doesn't know what has transpired over the last 10 years. She believes they are still together and still loves him. But where was she? Why is she back now? She loves Griff, but can he let her back in? He still loves her too but was destroyed when she left. This was a cute, over the top read with a great HEA.

I loved Tempt Me Twice. This was a short and sweet second chance story. Mercy left for ten years and now she’s back with amnesia. Griff can’t let her back in his life but he can’t let her go. She’s in danger and he will do anything to keep her safe. I loved the storyline and the characters. I would definitely recommend this book.

Tempt Me Twice was a quick and steamy romance by Pippa Brook. It also had a touch of suspense that will you reading to the very last page. Griff has never gotten over his fiancé leaving him with no explanation, only a letter telling not to look for her and that it was over. Now 10 years later Mercy shows up injured and no memory. She only knows she is still engaged to Griff. Will they get their second chance and who caused Mercy's injuries? Great read.

Griff and Mercy's story is one that tugs at your heart. Their tale is a fast read with a bit danger and a wounded heart that is twisted by the truth.

Great read when you need a quick escape.

Second chance stories are my favorite...this one had quite the plot twist. Griff and Mercy were engaged 10 years ago and she broke it off without any reasoning. Mercy is back now...asking for her fiancé not realizing she broke it off because she has amnesia and Griff is hesitant to get back into a relationship with her but she's always had his heart.

Griff's fiance disappeared ten long years ago

Mercy stumbles back into the fire hall and the nightmare begins. Where has she been? Why did she leave? Who hurt her so bad she can't remember anything about the last ten years. Gruff never moved on or stopped looking but is hesitant to forgive and forget...till circumstances interrupt their life again. Unusual karmic smack down ending.

This is a very quick read. Premise is she shows up 10 years after leaving him with no memory of having left. He’s angry still and now they’re trying to solve where she’s been. It’s an okay read, sweet and some steam for such a quick read.

Surprise!!

Having your ex walk into your office and pass out is the shock of the decade. Griff hasn’t seen Mercy in almost ten years and the shocks keep coming when it’s discovered she can’t remember the last decade and why she left. The story is fast paced but a fun read and the twist is great. Loved the HEA
