Rate this book
Nina, the Webwitch, has a special place in the evolutionary ladder; she is the bridge between the alien Spidernation and humans. Her choices can help determine who controls the globe in the next century. Biologically part of both worlds, but not fully embraced by either, she is torn between the desire to help the Spidernation expand and the human's quest to rid the world of the greatest predators the Earth has seen! The collected edition include all three issues as well as the special preview story from the Companion with art by the master of the macabre Tim Vigil and special assists from Adam (Witchblade) McDaniel.

Y'know, I love Vigil. He is my fave comic artist of all time. His stuff has blown me away for years. An' I thought this would too, having sucked down all the Faust/Wrath 777 issues that I could find anywhere. But I dunno, I felt something was lacking here. Maybe a lot of the story and visuals seemed too derivative...too much HR Giger? 'Species'? It was good to look at but, man, I was disappointed. I no longer have it so I can't revisit it to check if I'm bein' too harsh on Da Man, but I just expected more. It's Vigil so it gets at least 2 stars for that fact alone, but I'll stick to Dark Kingdom and his David Quinn collabs, I reckon.

The black and white art work is fantastic with good perspectives. The action scenes are fast. The story starts out really good and is like a version of the movie Predator, but overall the story seems rushed with missing scenes and character that could have filled out the plot. The lack of character development could have helped this book become more interesting, however it is a quick read with lots of action and nudity. So, read it for the art work and a quick read filled with plenty of action.
