Perhaps a little cute and condescending sometimes. Then again, the projected audience seems to be those considering bringing a cat into the home who have never lived with one. Perhaps some of the things I found condescending seemed so because it's been nearly 40 years since I've lived without a cat (sometimes 3 or 4) in the family.

I would recommend this book to any cat owner to help them understand their animal and learn how to effectively cohabitate with their cat. This book will help you to understand what you can do to accommodate your cats needs and how you can condition them to meet the requirements of your home. Filled with interesting tiger anecdotes, this book is an entertaining read and a useful reference tool.

Lots of good tips for training a cat, but not sure how easy it is to train an older cat rather than a kitten. Still, I might try a few of the suggestions. Especially enjoyed the stories about training lions and tigers - interesting to get a glimpse behind-the-scenes that we rarely ever get to see or read about.

While this book doesn't teach you all that many new tricks for your cat, the tiger training anecdotes are great fun, and it's interesting to think about the parallels between big cats and housecats.
