Inside Broadmoor By Jonathan Levi & Killing For Company By Brian Masters 2 Books Collection

Inside
Broadmoor. Few place names in the world have such chilling resonance. For over 150 years, it has contained the UK's most violent, dangerous and psychopathic. Since opening as an asylum for the criminally insane in 1863 it has housed the perpetrators of many of the most shocking crimes in history; including Jack the Ripper suspect James Kelly, serial killers Peter Sutcliffe (the Yorkshire Ripper), John Straffen and Kenneth Erskine, armed robber Charles Bronson, gangster Ronnie Kray, and cannibal Peter Bryan.

Killing For
Dennis Nilsen, who died in May 2018, admitted to killing at least 15 people before his arrest in 1983. This ground-breaking criminal study of his killings was written with Nilsen's full cooperation, resulting in a fascinating - and horrifying - portrait of the man who worshipped death.In February 1983, residents of Muswell Hill had been plagued by blocked drains. When a plumber was called to investigate, he discovered a large blockage of biological material. To his horror, it appeared to be formed of human flesh and bones.

Killing For Company;

This was a fascinating read, I ordered it from the library after I had watched Des on Itv X with David Tennant who I thought at the time was brilliant in it.

To go beyond the crime to discover what made man tick and find out why a seemly relatively ordinary man could commit to such horrendous crimes... the mind is a very strange thing!!

The crimes/murders themselves are quite hard to read at times but weren't overly graphic.

I loved masters style, it is extremely well written, presenting only the facts, going in deep of mind of a serial killer exploring criminology, theology, psychology and psychiatry which is nothing less than brilliant.
Although now the need to go and watch Disney to cleanse myself is overwhelming!
