Can a childhood friendship turn into love? Or will they miss their chance?
When flowers begin arriving at Lady Almeria’s door, she is first pleased and then confused. With no name attached to her gifts, how is she ever to tell which gentleman they are coming from? Thinking to use ‘The London Ledger’ to discover the gentleman behind it, Almeria is delighted when one upstanding, highly titled gentleman claims himself to be her admirer. The only problem, however, is that she feels no spark of interest when they first meet.
Marcus, Earl of Coppinger has long admired Lady Almeria. Having been acquainted as children, he has never forgotten her and, even though she treats him as a dear friend, he can never think of her as only that. Uncertain as to what else to do, he begins to send flowers and notes – only for another gentleman to declare himself.
With Lady Almeria appearing quite contented, Marcus fears he must step away, only for one dark evening to reveal a good deal more about her new beau. Determined to protect her, Marcus steps into the melee… only to find himself pulled further from Lady Almeria than ever before. Will they manage to bridge the gap between them? And can a spark of love ignite in Lady Almeria’s heart for him?
This is the third book in the Only for Love series, where a group of young ladies make a pact to each other that they will marry only for love, despite pressure from their parents and society to make a convenient match. It can be read as a standalone story and is clean and wholesome and is suitable for all ages. Get your copy today!
Rose has read her way through countless romances over the years, “borrowing” them from her older sisters, and hiding them from her mother.
She has a special love for Regency romances and when she began writing, the Regency period was a natural place to start. The ton, the wealthy families, the Season, the dilemmas, and yes, the marriages, have always fascinated her.
She loves a happy ever after! Now she is happy to bring this passion to her stories and share it with her readers.
On a personal note, Rose lives in North Carolina, is married, and has a terrier that barks too much. She enjoys taking him for walks to tire him out!

I loved this childhood friends to lovers story, it’s the third in the series but is easily read on its own. Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the torment Marcus & Almeria unnecessarily put themselves through, it all could have been avoided if they’d talked & been open with each other. Whilst I disliked Penworth he did make both Marcus & Almeria realise where their feelings did lie. A well written quick read My review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
This is the third book in the Regency Romance series by Rose Pearson. Lady Almeria and Marcus, Earl of Coppinger have been friends since childhood. Marcus no longer thinks of Almeria as a childhood friend, but someone to love and cherish and begin a life together. However, she still seems to think of them as a friend and he is afraid to confess his feelings. She has many admirers and he wants to get her attention in an indirect manner.
Although, his friend tries to get him to talk to her he decides to send flowers, anonymously, with subtle messages based on the types of flowers. She is initially quite intrigued but finally wanting answers enlists the help of “The London Ledger”. Just when Marcus is ready to tell her he is person sending the flowers, Lord Penworth announces he is the mystery gift giver.
Unfortunately, Lord Penworth is not the upstanding person he presents to society and forces Marcus to back away when he turns the tables on Marcus. Almeria has second thoughts about Lord Penworth and knows something is off with Marcus. Will she be able to unravel the puzzle with help from Lady Yardley and her friends? Can she expose Lord Penworth and finally admit her feelings to Marcus?
I loved this story, it was the perfect example of how when we feel the need to protect ourselves instead of being forthcoming we try another way to get our message across. So much could have gone wrong in this story because of the choices Marcus made but Rose Pearson provides us with an entertaining and engaging friends to lovers story in a sweet and clean manner, I look forward to the next book in the series.

Marcus, Earl of Coppinger, knew Lady Almeria through childhood and has always admired her. Unfortunately, she seems to still see him as a friend. But if he wants to win her heart before someone else starts to court her, he needs to get her attention. So he sends her flowers and gifts, never identifying who is sending them. This will turn out to be a mistake.
Lady Almeria is totally bewildered about who is sending the lovely flowers and gifts. So she cleverly makes use of “The London Ledger” to ask her admirer to step forward. But the titled “gentleman” Lord Penworth who claims to be the one is not being truthful. Thinking Lady Almeria is pleased with her gentleman, Marcus is ready to walk away, until it appears there is reason for concern. Will he and Lady Almeria admit to each other there may be more to their relationship than just remaining friends? Is he finally ready to speak up and offer a marriage proposal to his lady? Or will she walk away, not knowing how deep his feelings run for her?
Marcus, Earl of Coppinger and Lady Almeria have been dear friends since they were children. Marcus has much more serious feelings for her though and didn’t know how to show her so he started sending flowers with no name on them hoping to pique her interest but when Lord Penworth claims to be the one sending her the flowers, Marcus was afraid he would have to step away as he only wanted her happiness. This all happened after a notice was placed in the London Ledger by Almeria, hoping to discover who was sending her the flowers. However, Marcus found out that the other gentleman wasn’t an honorable guy so with the help of his friend and the knowledge of Lady Yardley, they are able to bring out the truth of Lord Penworth and his deception.

Bit the bullet man and tell the girl you care. I knew that as soon as I read about the flowers and what he planned that trouble was coming. Oh it was serious trouble at that. There is a lesson in this one perhaps it is better to tell the person you are attracted to that you care and want to spend time with them even if you are old friends. I liked the story and I liked how it ended. The characters were delightful even the villain he played his part really well. It was an enjoyable book to read and one I am happy to recommend. Not a fan when adults act like teenagers in solving a problem. In this story it's the H who is immature in his actions with his childhood friend. Thank goodness he had a friend who guided him in almost everything in his dealings with the h. He almost loses his chance with her when he doesn't come clean about his feelings or actions. He sends her flowers anonymously, but someone else takes credit.
Everything is resolved fairly quickly. Little on romance, clean only only 1 kiss. This is a standalone story with a few crossover characters.
No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA and clean. Ends at 88% on my e-reader. (ljb)
Beautiful story! Marcus, Earl of Coppinger has known Lady Almeria since they were children, but his feelings as more than a friend have grown steadily over the years. When Lady Almeria is approached by Lord Penworth declaring his devotion, she is unsure how she feels. Will Marcus and Almeria get their happy ever after? Will Lord Penworth get his just desserts? I enjoyed this story and look forward to the next in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
3.5 stars Marcus, Lord Coppinger and Lady Almeria have been friends since childhood. However, Marcus has realised how he really feels about Almeria and wonders if she still considers him as just a friend. I do like the guidance of Lady Yardley and advice from their friends. I’m not keen when the characters procrastinate rather than act and it did take me some time to get into this story. It was when a rival appeared on the scene that the story became enjoyable. I received a copy via Booksprout and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Lady Almeria and Lord Coppinger have been friends since childhood. They are now grown and looking for compatible marriage partners. Will the Ton make it harder for them? Will they realize what they have? This is the third installment of the latest series for Rose Pearson. She has done it again with keeping the feel and realism of the time. I highly recommend this series that has love, intrigue and friendship in bounds.

I am a huge fan of Rose Pearson but this book felt like she phoned it in. Lady Almeria and Marcus, Earl of Coppinger have been friends since childhood. His feelings have changed but he’s not sure hers have. This book had romance, intrigue and the unsavory character. Good triumphs over evil and u have your HEA. No big surprises. It was just okay while I’m use to her books being fantastic. I was a Little let down. But it was still a decent read.

Marcus, Earl of Coppinger, sends flowers to Lady Almeria who has caught his attention. They were childhood friends. He is not yet ready to reveal that his feelings have changed so he sends them without a card attached. Before he can talk to Almeria, another man steps forward to claim that he has been sending them. Marcus has to figure out a way to tell her the truth. I am enjoying this series and the characters. I received an advance copy of this book from BookFunnel, however, I voluntarily wrote an honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.
DNF on Chapter One when the heroine says she thinks of the Hero almost like a brother. I get that feelings can change over time, but I've never been a fan of friends-to-lovers, especially when only one side has romantic feelings and has bypassed the friend-zone completely and entered the family-zone. The transition is never convincing and always disappointing, no matter who the author is. I went into this thinking that maybe the heroine would have at least a small amount of romantic feelings towards the Hero at the start.
A childhood friendship, now they have grown up. Lady Almeria begins receiving flowers with no name attached. She wonders who they are from. Marcus, Earl of Coppinger, has never forgotten his dear friend, and now he has deeper feelings for her. Since he has not told Almeria of his love for her, another gentleman shows interest in her. How will Almeria know when she is in love?

It saddens me to say that in spite of the fact that The Earl's Unspoken Love is a great story, it is not all that interesting to read. Marcus comes off as a weak weenie who is nothing more than an idiot. It is not very believable that he is the true love interest for Almeria. I admit that I am programmed to prefer my romantic heroes to be the strong, bold, confident type; none of which describes Marcus.
He's always loved her but she only sees him as a friend. Marcus decides to send flowers to her anonymously but he didn't expect someone else to swoop in and take credit. Now what can he do? Will she fall in love with the other man or can Marcus win her heart? This was a sweet, clean read. I really enjoyed it. Friends falling in love is one of my favourite tropes and this one did not disappoint at all.
Took a few chapters to get into the story, didn't grab my attention until about half way through the story. Marcus and Almeria are good clean characters, who get caught up in a web of sorts, but later find out the truth. Having Lord Trevelyan as well as Miss Madeley and Lady Yardley as friends and allies, makes getting even with Lord Penforth so so sweet!
I'm so enjoying this series and getting to know all the characters. I loved Marcus and Almeria's story. They were friends since childhood. He's hoping for more but things get in his way. A book with intrigue, suspense and romance that grabbed my attention from the start. I anxiously await the next book in the series.
A sweet story of childhood friends who find themselves in a bind. The hero knows he loves the heroine but doesn’t speak up. She doesn’t realize her feelings and there in lies the issue.
A quick read of good vs evil… love and friendship.
This wonderful book will immediately grab you from the start. I loved how Marcus kept going after what he wanted and wound stop till he got what he wanted. I loved how Almeria had so much inner strength, she does all she can for the most desirous outcome. I couldn’t put this book down, I loved it.

It's hard sometimes to discern the truth when one is lying with confidence. Algeria was able to notice she didn't like Penworth's attitude towards her but not his lies. All is Well that ends well. Thank you for an enjoyable and just the right amount of suspense in this story.
Rose Pearson The Earl's Unspoken Love: A Clean Regency Romance (Only for Love Book 3) Lady Almeria and Marcus, Earl of Coppinger. A sweet and clean story of love, but the anonymous sender of flowers had better let himself be known, lest another take the credit and the lady.

Both Marcus and Almeria wanted to marry for love. From childhood, Marcus had loved Almeria. However, she was oblivious to its existence in her closest friend. Fortunately for her, Marcus persists in trying to show his love. Yet he lacks the courage to say so before a devious character interferes.
This was a quick read with interesting characters but, I never felt deeply engaged with the story. There was much confusion and chaos because neither of the main characters were honest with each other.
Disclaimer: I received this ebook from BookFunnel and this is my honest opinion.
Could have saved a lot of drama. But then we would not have Marcus. He’s sweet and smitten and should have signed his name to the flowers he was sending to Almeria. Instead Penforth takes the credit. Hence confusion and some threats. Recommend.
Our hero sent flowers in secret to his love and childhood friend. This opened the opportunity for another man to claim he had done so, opening the way for a delightful Regency Era romance novel.
I usually like the books Rose Pearson writes, but I thought this particular novel was not her best. I thought the main characters Almeria and Marcus were immature and tame. I hope the next book I read by this author is much better.
Flowers and notes from childhood friends might lead to more, but someone steps in and takes credit. Marcus and Almeria will have a lot to deal with to get to their HEA.

Marcus had been in love with Almeria for years. He didn't realize that Almeria was also in love with him. Mrs. Pearson has written a wonderful book about their discovering that they truly love each other. I recommend that you read this book...
I know it’s what causes some of the tension in the book, but it amazes me why people who care for each other can’t just be honest. Here it took almost to the epilogue for the guy to profess his love. Bad guy got his just reward.
Childhood friends have grown up. Do they recognize that feelings have changed? He has but she is unaware in his change. Problems arise and he is threatened by another suiter. Can they overcome their problems before disaster comes to drop them?
