The Second World War is just around the corner, Miloš Crnjanski, a Serbian writer, poet and at that time an official at the embassy of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in Rome, visits his favorite places in Italy for the last time, while longing for the countries of northern Europe. He will cross paths with some of his famous contemporaries, but also anonymous women and men who are just like himself experiencing pre-war Italy for the last time, while somewhere far away, in the north, there may be Hyperborea.
Пуно сам уживала у овој књизи, али нажалост сам имала госте на пар дана и потпуно сам изгубила нит. Четири звезде, јер МЦ понекад има склоност да трачари и то се овде види, мање него у Ембахадама, додуше. Али свакако, одлична књига и изванредан писац.
