Published in 2006, Gloster Javelin is a short reference book about the famous RAF fighter aircraft with the styling of a flat-iron. The shortness of the book means that the text is more of a thumb-nail sketch at times, and therefore lacks detail - the greater part of the book is taken up by 96 well captioned photos, numerous cutaway illustrations of Javelins and their components, and a huge number of colour profile artwork from Richard J Caruana. This is clearly intended as a reference source for modellers rather than as a serious history of the type, but enjoyable anyway.
