Filled with practical ways to memorize things, Memory Tips & Tricks is a highly interesting, engaging, and practical book. There is a tip or trick for everyone here. The best part of the book is that it's so optimistic and encouraging, emphasizing that everyone can improve their memory if you - no pun intended - put your mind to it. Along those lines, one of the most encouraging sentences in the book recounts an all-star memorizer (a world class competitor who can memorize the order of 50 packs of playing cards) who says that everyone who competes at the top level just has an average memory. So, there's nothing to it except for a lot of time, energy, and hard work. Which most of us will never put in, but still, I think if we did use a bit of effort, along with the tips and tricks presented in this book, our ability to memorize would improve.

Boring book

The book has some tools to improve our memories but I believe everybody follows those tools to some extent .you don't really need to read this book to improve your memory

Liked it

Great book. Light reading. Good synopsis of memory techniques with some history added. Will read it again. Better than expected.

Good nutritional advice

Good nutritional advice

This reviewed and gave rather wild examples of some tried and true memory helps. I tended to skim parts of it. I liked the nutritional advice in the last chapter. Good reminder of the importance of a healthy Mediterranean type diet which I like anyway.

Quick, easy read that details various methods to enhance memory. May come back and upgrade the rating after I've tried some!
