For as long as I could remember, Saverio Macchiavello had been a part of my life.
He was the son of the Machiavellian King of New York, and I was considered Italian royalty—a princess in the infamous Fausti family. Our families had been friends since before I was born.
A connection existed between us that wasn’t normal. It was the strongest thing I’d ever felt. It tethered me to him whether I wanted it to or not. One of us couldn’t seem to exist without the other. It was the same sort of epic love my parents had.
I was terrified of it. Because being a part of the Fausti famiglia meant danger always lurked in the shadows. And as a top soldier for my family, and my personal bodyguard, Saverio would die to see me safe.
Bella Di Corte writes criminal romance that will steal your heart. She brings to life stories of men who walk the line between irredeemable and savable, and the women who force them to feel. She’s known for her rich world building and strong characters. She’s also an International Bestselling Author.
Apart from writing, Bella loves to spend time with her husband, daughter, family, and four dogs. She also loves to read, listen to music, cook recipes that were passed down to her, and take photographs.
Bella was born and raised in New Orleans, a place she considers a creative playground.
I was thrilled with this release but also anxious because I devoured the Gangsters of N.Y., yet I never read the Fausti Family series.
There was a plethora of Fausti members but fortunately I didn’t have a great problem following them.
The writing style was GRIPPING and I was carried away with the story’s flow.
Saverio Macchiavello and Mia Bellarosa Fausti.
I felt I didn’t get to know the mcs. They did share a great chemistry but I didn’t feel their emotional connection. The push and pull was tiring after a point.
I loved the author’s writing style and reminded me of how much I had enjoyed the Gangsters of NY.
Wow, this book is so amazing. Right when I was thinking, it's been a minute, and I needed a Fausti fix - Bella delivers a doozy.
Even though it's Mac's son's book, it's a return to the Fausti world, and the reading is always with my heart in my throat. All my favorites are back, and they add a special touch to Saverio and Mia's romance. There is a lot of good development for Mia in this one. She is definitely her father's daughter! And Saverio, while his characterization was not as developed for me, he's still a great H. I always love the depth of Bella's writing and the simmering intensity and passion that runs through her romance. The intrigue and tension running through the storyline kept me glued to the pages.
As always, whenever finishing a Fausti book, it's always with a touch of sadness for my time with them has ended, but my heart is also full as well. It's bittersweet. What an incredible world she's created. Must read if you want to reconnect with the Fausti or Machiavellian families.
Ahhh...the beauty of words when put together in so perfect a way that they not only tell a great story, but make you feel all the emotions. My heart was in my throat through almost the entire book; either from the adrenaline of the harrowing, dangerous situations or the emotional upheavals that had tears in my eyes.
Mia had my heart breaking as she struggled, not only with her love for Saverio, but with the sacrifice she felt she had to make for that love. (If you know her history and her family's, you undersand it.) And some of the scenes with her father ...so moving or broke my heart. If that's not enough, my heart also broke for Saverio when she broke his believing it would keep him safe. But we know better...she's a Fausti and like her mother, trouble always finds them and those they love. But Mia is strong and when she finally takes love by the horns, she's not letting go for anything; she'll do whatever is necessary to hold on to it.
Don't fret, it's not all heartache and danger. In true Bella Di Corte fashion there are beautiful times with family and friends, lots of loving and tender moments. Bella knows how to tell a story and give you all the feels.
For Bella fans, you're going to love revisiting old friends....Mac and Mari, Scarlet and Brando, Rocco, Luca and the next generation. We get more glimpses of their grown children. And your going to especially love the hints for future books...Maestro Fausti and Lev's...daughter? (that one, way in the future); Evelina Machiavello and the Russian, Mikhail (Three), cohort of, and trained by, Lev (the assassin). Now you know that's not going to go over well with Mac and Mari, but how fitting that he's also known as the Wolf...but one with golden eyes not blue. I can't wait!
Another masterpiece by Bella Di Corte. Love this world and these characters and so glad we're getting more! 10 stars...yes, I know I can only give 5, but this deserves 10!
This is a fluffing RIDE. Phew 😮💨 Saverio had my heart since he was born. Capo & Mari raised him right 😌... And Mia. She was annoying the first half of the book. But the second half of it was so good that all flaws dissolved. Where the plot lacked suspense, it compensated in action and adventure. I love it.
I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I need books of all the kids.
🥰I think next book may be of Evelina & Three 😉 I already love Evelina...since she was three 😁
Mia Fausti and Saverio Macchiavello are the first couple from the second generation of the two powerful mafia families created by this author. Both are incredible series and now we are gifted with the next generation's stories.
There’s a lot of build-up and tension in so many scenes! I think we could safely call this author the Climax Queen! Talk about an anxiety-inducing need to turn the pages quickly. In saying that, I also found that quite a bit of the first half of the story was at a slower pace, and I struggled a bit to continue. I’m glad I did because the conclusion is terrific.
Mia annoyed me a tiny bit by pushing Saverio away, time after time. I understood it but wanted to give her a shake. 😁 Saverio, fortunately, was a man on a mission. The chemistry between these two is scorching hot.
The suspense element, with its danger, is fabulous. Throw in the action and romance, and you have a good start to a new series.
The Machiavellian Prince: A Royal Organized Crime Romance By Bella Di Corte
This author has once again take all the words and woven a beautiful story that gives readers suspense, memories and a beautiful love story. She has brought back characters we readers count as family, she has given us a new generation who are coming into themselves as they grow up and take their spots in the family business. Yes, businesses! We aren’t just talking the Fausti family, we are also talking the Machiavello family. If ever two families were to unite, it’s these two you want.
Di Corte’s ability to draw readers into the story is awe inspiring! She takes us from the ballet stage in Paris, to Sicily and eventually back to New York.
Now that Sevario Machiavello has sworn his life to the Fausti’s and now that Mia has begun to see how their lives have and will always be intertwind, readers will be in awe of how families have grown stronger, how some things never change and how true love is always written in the stars. Two hearts entwined since childhood may end up fighting to the end to have their love story realized.
As always, Author Bella Di Corte has given us the best and worst of villains, people we can trust, people who we don’t care for and people that may not go home at the end of the day.
The pull and the push between Sevario and Mia is as deep if not deeper when compared to the courtships their parents had and this all will play out with names being dropped, smoke appearing when needed and all that takes place around our beloved characters.
I’ve always said that this Author is my go to Mafia queen and she continues to be the one I can count on to take me places that make me smile, have me laugh and then at the edge of my seat time and time again. At the end of each story I thank the day that I was introduced to her writing…and it just so happens that book was about the Machiavellian King!
In this review I give her all my stars, I only wish we could give her more than five.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series…Mille Grazie Signora, mille grazie!
Saverio Macchiavello has known most of his life who he would marry, and it wasn't due to an arranged marriage, it was how his heart latched onto the Fausti Princess. He was determined to make her his and marry her, he just had to keep working on her to get her to agree. When her life is threatened he will put his life on the line to protect her and keep her safe, no matter the obstacles in his way. The Machiavellian Prince will will his Princess.
She is afraid that history is repeating itself, and she does not want to put the only man she loves in the same position her father was put in years ago. However, she may not have a choice in the matter. When she has to make the choice, her grandfather may step in and make it for her, because she wants to follow her heart, but her head is telling her not to. When it becomes too dangerous for her to continue her life the way she wants, Saverio will stand beside her and fight for what he wants. It may be a battle for the ages.
I was so happy to return to this world! I love the characters and the stories that have been told by Bella Di Corte in this original series and to have the second generation come to life now is beyond wonderful. I love the characters! I loved this story of Saverio and Mia, they are so deeply in love, but she's fighting him every step of the way because she wants to protect him. She's a true crime family princess and Saverio will not be deterred. This was a great start to the Next Generation of the families and I can't wait to read more.
“He was the most delicious pull and the worst push.”
Another beautiful love story by Bella. Beautiful words. Beautiful setting. Beautiful memories. One very special read. From beginning to end I couldn’t stop smiling while reading? even with this being my second time of reading it. This book is worth more than 5 stars. When I say it’s special you honestly have no clue how special until you read it.
This story is full of suspense, danger, action, fear and a lot of emotions. — A Prince who is protecting the woman he loves deeply while she lives her dream. Rio aka Saveriol has sworn is life to the Mia and her family. Mia struggles with the danger that comes with the Fausti name. Her mother spent money years in danger and now Mia is in the same situation. Her parents past comes back to haunt them. —— I’m sad because I couldn’t read 8 books on them lol. But their story is bitter sweet. Perfect in every way. I loved every moment of reading this.
I’m so excited for the future books to come. I absolutely love all the brothers. And one special lady Evelina 🌹
“Being a Fausti meant more than being a “Royal of Italy.”
Can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading Machiavellian and the Fausti Family series.
This is the second gen book of two of the author’s famous series: The Fausti series and the Gangsters of New York series. Mia Fausti and Saverio Macchiavello both come from very infamous families, and as much as they try to be their own individuals, they also have to deal with the aftermath of having a criminal legacy. I really like Saverio’s determination to be with Mia, and admire what he had to give up to be with her. He’s far from his New York home, but it doesn’t mean anything as long as he’s with Mia. The princess of the Fausti family is a well known ballerina, but she lives in fear of having an all encompassing love like her parents. She loves Saverio but doesn’t want to be with him, letting fear of losing him rule her emotions. She doesn’t want him to suffer because of her, but she also doesn’t want to lose herself if something bad happens to him. This books ties in someone of her parents’ past and how those who were targeting her parents now have a new target: Mia.
I enjoyed the story, and it wasn’t hard to follow even though I didn’t read the Fausti series. I did read Saverio’s parents’ story, so that was nice to know. AND if you want to read more of Mia and Saverio, the author has a bonus story of these two in the future if you sign up on her website (which I did cause I wanna know the future!).
Saverio has a love to win. Mia isn’t prepared for what’s about to come. I loved reconnecting with this family. It was like watching a family get-together unfold and catch up after not seeing each other for what seemed like years. I also realized that I have a lot of books to catch up with The Fausti Family.
I watched Mia wanting to own who she is while seeing how far she can push her boundaries, and Saverio. She wants to spread her wings while others want to clip them, so she comes to no harm. Then we get moments where you won’t know if you want to hold your breath, but you must keep reading to know how things will play out. Because of that, it makes this book a real page-turner.
This is an author that I’m so glad I reconnected with. She has a way of creating a story that I don’t want to put down until I’ve come to the end. Life gets in the way, so it just isn’t possible but it just adds to my anticipation once I pick the book back up. Her characters are both strong-willed and I just had to see if one came out on top or if they found a way to walk side by side. Our author is why following her is a must so that I can keep up with what book/books are going to be in my future.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
If you knew love could kill you, would you still fall?
Mia and Saverio! These two were fated from the beginning. They both come from elite Mafia royalty and have lived and breathed the lifestyle their entire lives. Saverio claimed Mia when she was a teenager, and they've played the slow game for years. You get a taste of their beginning in the novella Mystical Island.
To be honest, their "beginning" could have been hammered out more. When we are introduced to them, they're well into their 20s, having been secret lovers for some time. You get to see their yearning for one another right from the start, and can sense that they're not in a relationship but still reap the benefits of each other's bodies when they're physically together. The feeling of "I need you now or I'll die" is strong in this book.
Mia has her reasons for being hesitant to fully allow herself to fall in love with Saverio. She knows that this lifestyle can take away a loved one at any second, and doesn't want to risk her heart to tragedy. Saverio however has been all in for a while and is relentless in his pursuit of Mia.
There's some good family drama in this book, and characters from a lot of this author's other works make appearances. I enjoyed this one a lot.
I've loved most of Bella Di Corte's book that I have read but to be honest this wasn't up there with the Fausti series. This should really be read after reading the whole series of Brando and Scarlet.
Firstly, this story feels like a continuation of that story and you jump right in at the beginning. There was very little build up to the depth of Saverio and Mia's relationship (I'm assuming because this groundwork was laid in earlier books). Secondly, a lot of spoilers were mentioned from the Fausti series. This wouldn't be a problem if you've read all those books already. I, unfortunately, haven't read the whole series so a lot was revealed to me.
There is a plot but very little development in that area and most of the focus is on this intense relationship (similar to Brando and Scarlett's) between Saverio and Mia. I didn't feel much connection with them as I did with their parents but that opinion may change when I go back and read the rest of the Fausti series that I've missed out on.
I would highly recommend this series but do yourself a favour and read it in order.
A double dose of mafia families, a love for the ages and a vendetta made me want to pick up The Machiavellian Prince. I will say that at times things slowed down a bit, but I get it, that connection needed to be established. But when things were on, they were ON!
I really liked Saverio. He knew his heart and purpose and that was Mia. She was his reason for all he did. Even when she tried to deny what was between them. Even when she tried to push him away. Even when she made an arrangement that would've made them both miserable for life, he wouldn't be deterred. Especially with a threat breathing down their neck.
Whew! Talk about intense. It was a whirlwind of scheming and bullets and sacrifices. I honestly had no clue how it was all going to play out but I couldn't stop reading until I knew. Mia and Saverio's journey was equal parts sexy and suspenseful. And that ending...was just the happy they had always hoped for.
For Bella Di Corte followers this a return to our much traveled and well loved Fausti universe with visits from all the key players. We're gifted a glimpse into the future of Brando and Scarlett Fausti and Mac and Mari Machiavelli as we walk a new path with their children. Simultaneously readers are also transported back to "the beautiful years" (iykyk 😉) through anecdotes and memories. It was what my heart needed❤️ Mia Fausti is the Fausti princess. Her beautiful exterior and grace on the stage is a reminiscent of her mother. She is also " touched" like Scarlett. Mia "knows whose blood flows through her veins", though, and with the Fausti blood comes a stubborn resolve to protect those you love; even if it kills you to do so. Saverio Machiavelli decided at 15 years old that Mia was his and no one would keep her from him. But what if the one standing in his way is Mia?? You must read this book!!!!
When you hear that one of your favorite authors has a spin off that includes families from multiple series of hers, you jump at the chance to read it…and boy oh boy, this does not disappoint.
If you haven’t yet read the Fausti series or Gangsters of New York, that’s ok, you’ll still like this. But for those of you have have read them both, you’ll absolutely love each and every second of this book. Just remember, where there are princes and princesses, there are kings and queens!
Mia and Saverio’s story is similar to Brando and Scarlet’s. Something close to a ballerina finding her lucky charm, not letting go. But where there is luck, there is also danger. In order for Saverio to keep his ballerina safe, he’ll need to tap into what he does best…protect at all costs.
I’m seriously begging that this is the first of many more books to come. Bella has set it up so nicely to tell many more stories. After all, there are more princes and princesses.
Wow 🤩🤩Wow Wow this is 5 Stars twice over 🤩🤩 What can I say Bella Di Corte delivers again in the next generation of Machiavellian and Fausti a beautiful unstoppable Future King And Queen Bella has created what Bella does Best outstanding Italian Mafia Romance. Beautiful story beautiful words. Visit old friends and new friends, we have the perfect combination of Machiavellian meets loves Fausti. Revisit our favourite family’s and the continued struggles to stay safe.
Bella has a creative mind and her stories are happy, sad, emotional but mostly gripping, how can one writer turn words into such thrilling emotional stories, it’s hard not to get emotional attached to these characters, I have cried, shouted I have had butterflies 🦋 in my stomach my heart in my mouth, I am all in and will read what ever she writes.
This is a read must author, you will not be disappointed
The Machiavellian Prince and the Fausti Princess...OMG
Loved. Loved. I loved this story. The next generation of the Machiavellian Family and the Royal family of Italy is the Fausti family. I especially love that Brando and Scarlett's daughter Mia Bellarosa is sensitive like her mother and that she knows who her soul mate is because of the pull she has with Saverio like her parents have with each other. I love that she has become a ballerina 🩰 like her mother and her grandmother. This story kept m Going all day until the next morning because that is what a Bella di Corte books 📚📖 does to me. I love reading this Royal crime family and the organized romance that comes with them, the Machiavellians of New York and the Faustis of Italy. Awesome 📚📖 would highly recommend this book 📖.
It’s Saverio and Mia’s book, the next generation. But at the same time it's not just that. It is so much more. The story might be mostly about them, but took me on the journey down memory lane with Faustis and Machiavellians. All those small things, values, gestures, connections, feelings and emotions, places and memories - reading again about it made me want go back and read again Brando & Scarlet and Mac & Mariposa’s books, experience once again theirs unique and extraordinary relations, feel the affection, love, that special bond of belonging to each other. The one their children inheritage too. And now trying to find a place in this world to live together, be able to cherish each other and build happiness. But when you are born in powerful mafia families like them, that might be harder to achieve with all enemies and danger lurking nearby.
1. Saverio. 2. He is Mac's son. And 3. I absolutely loved Machiavellian it was the first book of Bella's that I had read, and my very favourite book of 2020, and I feel in love with Mac.
Soooo back to Saverio and Mia, wow. The apple didn't fall too far from the tree here. Saverio had known Mia was his for years, and he would live for her and die for her.
Mia has fought the pull between them. In their world, to love is a risk.
The emotional and steamy connection that existed between Saverio and Mia was beautiful and absolutely indescribable.
The angst, hurt, push, and pull, the danger, suspense, just everything about this book made it utterly impossible to put down. I absolutely loved it.
Machiavellian Prince by Bella Di Corte is the First book in The Next Generation Series. This is the story of Saverio and Mia. Sevario Machiavello has just given his vow to the Fausti. Mia has loved Sevario from the start but she is wanting to protect Sevario. Which is why she makes a decision that she felt would help to keep him safe but just adds to their pain. If you have read the previous books in the The Fausti Family series then you will have been introduced to this next generation that is starting. I love Ms. Di Corte writing and I highly recommend it. If you are a previous reader of this author you just grab her books without even looking because they are that good. I can't wait for more in this series!
I love the first installment of the second generation series! What I love most is you still get to see your favorite characters from the original series! I love when you see the new characters and the story line but it’s still intertwined with the original ones. Then again, that’s what the Fausti dynasty is about.
Very good balance with the similarities and differences of Mia and Scarlett and both their love stories. Mia is a great mix of both parents which ironically is what actually makes her unique in a sense. I love the set up for the next few books and can’t wait to see who is next in line! I wish I could have a more in depth conversation with someone about all the books lol!
This was a beautifully written story that was heartfelt and heart-wrenching a couple so in love yet the love they have for one another puts one of them in constant danger. Saverio was such a swoon-worthy character just loved him from the moment we met him. The story was full of intrigue, danger, and hotness. The characters were amazing. More than a few surprises popped up and we loved that it had a claiming we did not see coming.
We loved seeing Mia grow throughout the story once she let her fears go she was a force to be reckoned with. The story just proves that love is worth fighting for as well as dying for. Mia proved that she would do anything to save her King she was a worthy queen. Their chemistry was beautiful.
We loved it from cover to cover and could not put it down.
OMG this book was soooo good. Will admit Mia got on my nerves in the beginning but I get why she was like she was. Saverio ahhh sigh he is his daddy's son that's all I'm going to say!!!! The story progresses amazingly. I love the love these two have for each other. I love seeing all the characters from past books be in this one. I honestly am hoping for Lev to get his own book like someone needs to snatch him up lol ok back on topic i love that Mia and Saverio are like Brando and Scarlett but not like that's pretty cool. The end had me gasping not even gonna lie but yes 5 start read for sure, definitely can't wait for more stories to come out especially Maestro's.
How to make your readers love you even more: combined two of their favorite families. The Fausti and Macchiavello families are my favorite that Bella Di Corte has written. And giving us the next generation is so exciting. Saverio and Mia’s story is magical. The love they have for each other is beyond. And no matter how much Mia pushes him away, he reminds faithful to her and her family. They both will protect each other no matter the cost. The Machiavellian Prince gives us the suspense, romance and of course the page turning mafia drama. I’m so excited for the next book in the series and to see where Bella Di Corte will take us.
This one conflicted me on how to rate. For a lot of it, it was a good solid four stars only in comparison to other books the author has written. BUT.... It was the action and special parts that I couldn't ignore and not give all the stars. This author excels at suspense. So when the bodies are dropping, you can be guaranteed you'll captivated. I'm purposely not commenting on much nor the characters, you'll understand while reading. It's an emotional rollercoaster of a journey so buckle up.
The Machiavellian Prince: A Royal Organized Crime Romance (The Next Generation Book 1) by Bella Di Corte. I always know I am in for a treat when I get my hands on a story from this truly amazing author. Saverio and Mia’s story did not disappoint- I found it to be beautifully messy and full of wicked banter, intense drama, complex characters, and deep connection and passion between these two. As always she has created another story that you really need to invest your time and devour each encounter with not only their actions but their words – meaningful and passionate and formidable.
Saverio is the son of Mac Macchiavello, a prince of in the NYC underworld. Mia is the princess of the Fausti Family Dynasty.
Saverio has known that he wants Mia to be his end game. It just took her a little longer to realize it, even though she loves him just as much as he loves her. There connection is undeniable, but Mia is afraid of living without him.
Bella Di Corte makes sure that you feel every emotion that Mia and Saverio are feeling. Every heartbreak and happiness. Definitely worth every moment.
I loved being back in the Fausti family. This is absolutely my favorite series to date, especially the next gen, who are following quite closely to the OGs. Mia and Saverio are as perfect as both their parents' relationships, they have this undeniable connection that is absolutely perfect for this series. This story grabs your attention right from the first page, and it is so hard to life when all you want to do is finish. I can not wait for more in this series!
Saverio and Mia’s book was a fabulous start to this series. These two characters were made for each other, but will they get their happily ever after? You will have to read to find out!
This story had lots of suspense, danger and action. There was also lots of push and pull between the two main characters. Which kept me glued to my kindle till the very end.
