Collects the tributes of thirteen professional women to their mothers on how their lives were enriched by their mother's and grandmother's culinary efforts, in a volume that conveys the spiritual nature of cooking for one's family and shares such recipes as the Thinking Person's Cheesecake and Day-after Thanksgiving Gumbo. By the author of Knitting Lessons. Original.
