Great little book - lots of information, especially considering the size. One wish - that all the historical background had been at the beginning instead of the end, so you could have some context ahead of time. Nice maps and walkable itineraries. I'm mostly interested in the World War II history and found good information. I liked the little extra boxes that gave you tips on certain types of restaurants as well as the walking itinerary ideas, if you were traveling there that would be a great resource.

I bought this book as we had booked a cheap city break to Krakow. I found the book easy to follow and the map at the back came in very handy while we were there. Although it prepared us in many ways for our stay, I think the section on getting around the city (in particular the trams and how to buy tickets) might have been a bit more informed. Luckily, we were visiting friends who showed us what we needed to do. The book did warn us to start walking before our visit in preparation but we didn't follow its advice so we were very tired by the end of it and with blisters to go along with it. Great pocket sized guide!

Planning for our holiday in August, very candid and informative. Especially about eateries and shops. A lot of 'things to do' also shown in good detail.

A must have for anyone considering anything from a few days to a week or more in Krakow.
