It was a good series. Grey and Aurelia grew so much in this book. They finally went to war after struggling to find the people to join and finding the right way to win. They went through many challenges to get there but their love, family, and friends helped The Machine. Grey is still the over protective wolf but he has learned to comprise a little for Aurelia. Aurelia is a strong and very independent fae who wants nothing more than for her people to believe in her instead of protecting her. It was a good read. Spice is a 4!
the ending was cliche, and it felt rushed at parts, but this was still an enjoyable read regardless. i knew what i was getting into starting this series, and as a final book, it wasn’t a strong finish at all. i wish i saw more character development to be honest. this series could be good if the books were longer, but they aren’t, so it’s just okay.
also for some reason Karma’s name changed to Lydia in this book?
I don’t want to hate on this book series, I have read all of them, but the ending doesn’t wrap things up. Which is disappointing, there are quite a few editing issues. For instance the wrong name for a character crops up more than once and shocked it didn’t get picked up in editing. But my main gripe is the ending…. Even if you’re going to do a spin off main plot points should have been wrapped up. The first book is available on kindle unlimited then the rest aren’t. I’m finding this more and more and it’s frustrating, for a serial reader like myself, to the point where I find it a little obnoxious. I’m only saying this as I have a completion compulsion. My own fault for not realizing that 3 books were not included in kindle unlimited.
On a whole the books were ok, they are quick short reads. But they had so much potential.
The sorry premise is good as a whole just need a warped up ending to 4 books,
Quite a few editing errors, including calling a character the wrong name, repeatedly. Also changing the colour of the MMC's shift form? Perhaps I'm forgetting but even the covers of the other books have him as white but black in the final. Outside of this, the ending doesn't give the book justice. There were many threads left unaddressed, and the main goal all 4 books worked towards was glossed over.
Overall, I enjoyed the storyline, but Aurelia got on my nerves a lot, especially in Book 3: Chosen By The Fae. There was a lot of repetitiveness. I feel like the story would continually stall. For example: In book 3 Aurelia spent way too much time watching the news and saying how unfair and un-American everything was. The whole time I'm thinking can we just move on, please? We get it, it's wrong and unfair. It pissed me off that they just assumed Zeke was dead (which he wasn't) and left him there. The whole plan to save the President, because they jumped to the conclusion that he was being controlled was just plain idiotic. Just because Malcolm was there didn't mean he was being controlled. The people who were being controlled had a blank expression and the President never had that. Aurelia's brilliant idea to not use magic to save themselves was probably the worst decision she could have made. In my opinion, what happened to Zeke, was entirely her fault.
On a side note: I'm tired of all these FMCs having "curves" like "thick thighs". Why can't we have FMCs that are in shape? What's wrong with an FMC having a toned body? What's wrong with having an FMC not eat their weight in ice cream? It's one thing to say a woman has "curves in all the right places", but "thick thighs" are not the type of curves that are attractive. It feels like every FMC has curves aka fat. I'm just tired of it, 😒.

What an awesome series had so much story a wolf king a fae princess and so much more I loved the whole story line through it a love that was different a bond with people who weren't blood but family a trust that was never broken an empathy that had to be greed and knowledge and as so much more
This series had the potential to be so good but it just fell flat. Too many inconsistencies, changing the name of one character from karma to Lydia in book 4 made no sense and one person being dead, then alive, then dead again
The book was good and happy to see the family united at the end but I agree with others that the ending didn't give clarity to the situation with the supernaturals being locked up.
