Falcon McCallister, with a young Indian sidekick combs the panhanlde of Oklahoma for some outlaws.

Lots of shooting and riding, but not very challenging.

Decent western, written in a methodical fashion. Didn't look up the order in which they were written but MacCallister and Smoke Jensen are pretty much the same character.

Blood of Eagles

I enjoyed the book...... But it jumps forward and backwards too much for me. I have enjoyed most of the Johnstone books and will try to finish them all. Thank you for all of my readings.

Good Book!

This is a great story but the poor editing ruined it. It would seem to me if charge money you should edit properly. Almost on every words ran together thereby causing a pause in the reading!

This series is a weird one for me. I started when I first was getting into Westerns and enjoyed the ones I listened to with Falcon. Then the other ones I've listened to since then have just been bad. This one was just too gory and actually boring. I might read more in the future, but only if the library gets them in.

Good read. Lots of action

Good action. Good characters, but too many. Caused confusion about who was on whose side. Recommended to all Macalister fans. Must read others first. Best read in sequence.

I didn't like this one as well as some of his others. It is rather a complicated land sale setup in the Oklahoma panhandle and the story dwells more on the bad guys than on our hero. Also, I guess I really like the mountain men stories better ... my own preference. Still an entertaining read.

Love your books.

I love your books and have read most of this series. This one was my least favorite. Story line is to hard to follow. Kept losing interest. Maybe to many story lines.

This one was to be the concluding book in the Towering Eagles series but William left it, that it would be easy to pick up the story again and has since been continued by the Johnstone estate.

Typical of his books, you have bad very evil, set with a legendary character being Falcon MacCallister, it has several story lines going on and it all comes together in the end.

The only thing with this one is it does ramble along a bit over the last 100 pages, then the end seems to be rushed and ends way too easily. I also think a few of the big fierce gunfighters die a little too easily. Then would have had Becky Barlow killing Billy Challis, rather than killing herself while being raped and especially after a couple of mentions how tough the Barlow women were.

In all William books are so much better than the stuff being currently released by the estate.

Another brilliant Western from the modern master of this genre.
Anybody who knows me, knows I love westerns-hell,I've written three myself to tribute this- but from the days of Fargo, Edge, authors Lyle Brandt and William W Johnstone have brought this genre screaming and spitting lead into the 21st century.
The hero Falcon Mcallister is a great creation, a big powerful man with a fast gun and brains to match. His description reminds me a little of John Benteen's Sundance.
Falcon becomes entangled with illegal land grabbers, bank robbers and a young Cherokee who will become a warrior. Everything pulls together nicely at the end to bring a great conclusion to this fine adventure.
Well worth a read.
Bring back the Western!

What a western!!

Heroes are real. They are amazing but don't do more than a really heroic man could do. Many hands make things right. It's not just bang, bang shoot 'm up but a real story. I especially liked the bits of history about my ancestors, the Tsalagi or Cherokee.

It's hard to believe a western series can run this long and yet there's probably another 10 books...

Another great western series by Johnstone. This one follows the adventures of a family for generations as they help build the American frontier. Recommended
