Dead men tell no lies…not that it matters. Paul Cronin suspects he doesn’t speak the same language as his predecessor Marlin, anyway. Despite all the information in the red notebook he inherited, Paul is no closer to understanding the Bermuda Triangle anomaly than he would’ve been without it.
Dallas leads Paul to Marlin’s house to seek the elusive Black Box, but they’re not the only ones interested in Marlin’s personal effects. Telling the truth about what they’re looking for is out, and they only have a few free hours between flights in which to search—but maybe luck is on their side. A clue that surfaces from beyond the grave sends Paul hunting through the empty Bermuda airport in search of the discovery he’s certain will release Flight 511 from the turbulence once and for all.
Author and artist Jordan Castillo Price writes paranormal sci-fi thrillers colored by her time in the Midwest, from inner city Chicago, to various cities across southern Wisconsin. She’s settled in a 1910 Cape Cod near Lake Michigan with tons of character and a plethora of bizarre spiders. Any disembodied noises, she’s decided, will be blamed on the ice maker.
Jordan is best known as the author of the PsyCop series, an unfolding tale of paranormal mystery and suspense starring Victor Bayne, a gay medium who's plagued by ghostly visitations.
2.5 Dallas takes Paul to Marlin’s house. While searching for clues on Marlin's computer, Paul triggers that email Marlin wrote in the first scene and the captain and Dallas finally receive it. Marlin’s ex-wife is arranging the service for Marlin and Paul and Dallas agree to go together.
Paul tries to solve the puzzle from Marlin's email. They are still not closer to solving the turbulence problem.
After they get back, Paul meets Chantal. Other than that email and the thing Paul checked while waiting for the time to go back, nothing really important happens in this instalment. Just an ok story.
I have a feeling that even though each of these installments is in the 4 star range that when I sit and think about it the whole endeavor will be closer to 5 stars.
I was expecting more from this chapter because the story is getting so close to the end but not that much happened. Marlin seems to have left a clue but so far that went no where, like the other small clues he's left. Hopefully Paul will suddenly get an epiphany and soon. Still loving the story, it's just this chapter that lost a bit of enthusiasm for me.
Love Paul and Dallas, they are adorable. Dallas's niece shows up and that was too funny.
TAGS -- Scifi -- was hoping for more -- winding down -- a few small clues -- nothing panned out -- the MCs... Paul & Dallas are so cute -- got a good chuckle -- still excited -- can't wait to get to the next chapter -- less than 40 pages
Dallas and Paul are just too cute together. They're easily one of my favorite couples in the M/M genre. Every time I get to read more about them leaves me smiling and craving more.
I really enjoyed this one. Paul's frustration and Dallas's grief are both so tangible, so real. And yet despite that, they still so obviously care about each other and their friends and family, and that matters, gives them something to hold onto. I do hope Paul finds some answers soon though, for all their sakes!
We got more into the mystery with this one, which I like best. I don't think there was much flashback, if any. Dallas's daughter puts in an appearance in a weird sort of way. The relationship between Dallas and Paul is really moving to something special, although it's all instalove. But of course, I needed that because there just isn't enough of their relationship in this series. As always, frustration is high there for them physically, and me, too!
Once again I'm caught up in this fascinating series, Turbulence, and Flying Blind book 6 has hit the bulls eye.
Paul is in hot pursuit of the black box and tries to follow a clue left behind in a haiku that Marlin wrote. And Paul and Dallas's relationship continues to evolve as it moves on to the next level. The Autopilots are something else!
So, Dallas' niece has a boyfriend, and she's not terribly happy about Dallas' choice of one.
I keep wondering about the not-so-empty Bermuda alters, about the way they don't seem to remember, but they also know things. How much of them is there?
And how can you make a relationship work when you are spending more time with the alter than with the original?
Not so much to finish the stories... will we get answers?
This one was kind of a filler. It was important to learn more about Marlin. I just wanted to see a "real" black box from the last installment. Instead, there are more questions and no quicker to understanding what is going on. Dallas and Paul are just screwed. How do they know they are coming back to the real timeline? Where do the autopilots go when they are brought back together? Just weird.
this was a good instalment to see pual and dallas lives emerged together. cant wait for the next book, but as of now it isnt on nook.
the only thing i dont get is how, i believe it is paul, got a 380 view? to see all around you is 360, so was price trying to say soemthing else..idk but it bothered me....lol
This series keeps getting better and better and it's got me scrambling to get through it! This sixth in the series was finished less than two and a half hours after reading the first, I can't put them down!
