Avarice Set is the collection of books 1-3 in the Avarice series and is advertised as being dark erotica and so I couldn’t wait to read it.
‘Avarice’ Book 1
The heroine is Kameo (Kami) Kross. We learn that the day she was born it was in some very tragic circumstances and as a result she has a dark cloud haunting her very existence. Which is a bit of foreshadowing although it takes reading book 2 to get the rest of the puzzle pieces. The first scence is about her and her roommate going out on Halloween. She is in to some kinky stuff, just not a relationship so while most people would be running from a strange masked man she leaves the club with him and his entourage. The we jump 6 months later where she is looking for a job and goes on an interview at her dream company; Kress & Wolfe Financial. Turns out that she gets hired as the owner’s PA. Unfortunately, her new boss M.W. Kress is very demanding and sparks something in her.
'Avarice Unforgiving' book 2
So we pick up where book 1 left off and I can’t say much more since it would spoil the ending of book 1, but in this book we learn a bit more about who M.W. Kress is and how Kameo is connected to him. There is a really involved story going on, but we still need more of the pieces. We are told it will happen in 6 days on Kameo’s 24th birthday.
I don’t want to say more to spoil the ride, but it definitely leaves you wanting more since not all the puzzle is revealed in this book. Again, there is a whole ending about some Phaedra which is confusing to me since I don’t know the first thing about what the author is referring to.
The story was a bit choppy, but I think that is intentional since things are not as they seem and bits and pieces are being revealed and you don’t know how they fit together yet. So while I enjoyed the story and typically I love suspense, this one was a bit hard to get lost in. I was focusing too much on trying to put things together that I couldn’t fully enjoy the ride.
'Avarice Unleashed' book 3
So we pick up where book 2 left off and I can’t say much more since it would spoil the ride, but in this book we finally get the end of the puzzle.
So looking back, the story was so hard for me to follow. The author includes some deleted scenes and about how the story came to her in bits and she added them in. Unfortunately, it shows in the final product. It is way to choppy for me to enjoy. I absolutely love dark reads and suspense and so I’m sad to say that this was a miss for me as I couldn’t follow how the things just popped in almost like it didn’t belong.

Just WOW! This collection has gotten under my skin. I picked this up thinking it was going to be a good Dark Read. Which it was but it was so much more. The plot is intertwined with a mysterious paranormal aspect that will keep the reader on their toes. I don't do spoilers so I won't get heavily into the plot but trust me when I say the author has a wonderfully twisted way with a pen (and I mean that in a very good way).
The story follows Kameo's life. She was born to a druggie that died giving her birth but before she died she had the strength to write "kill it" in blood on the wall of the alley where she gave birth. Kami believes she is destined to be unworthy especially in love and sex (she his always left unsatisfied like something is missing) even when she turns to kink and craves the pleasure of pain. Kami is completely fearless and always speaks her mind. But when she gets hired to be a PA for a sexy dominate man, Saph, that seems to know what she's thinking before she does, things start to go terribly wrong or right depending on who's side you look at it from. The story is absolutely mind blowing and toe curling. As I read along I became more and more entranced with Kami and Saph. Their connection is phenomenal. The author will take you on a whirlwind of a ride as Kami and Saph get closer and closer to her demon’s arrival (yes I said her DEMON’S Arrival).
This very erotic journey will literally take to you to hell and back and have you loving every minute of it (except the times you’ll worrying your butt off wondering what’s going to happen next).. To the Author I would like to say 2 Thumbs up for a great job and this readers truly hopes you write more stories in this genre and if wishes came true, stories with some of Saph and Kami’s friends & family would be in the mix.

This. Book was nothing like I expected. Putting it down was hard to do. Kami has had a hard life. Kami and her best friend Zoe are roomies. They are getting ready for Halloween. Kami is wearing her sexiest angel costume. She goes all out for Halloween. It's the one night she lets herself be free to get what she wants. Zoe is wearing a Star Wars costume. They arrive at the bar and go get drinks. They are scoping out where to go in the bar ., when some guy decided to get all touchy freely with Kami. Zoe gets rid of the guy, and they find a spot on the dance floor. As Zoe and Kami start dancing Zoe finds a group dressed in Star Wars attire and ask kami if she will be ok alone while she dances with them. Kami says yes and Kami notices a man with a bull head dressed in a suit with an entourage with him. She feels him staring at her. So she decides she is going to dance for him. This is the beginning of strange things happening to Kami. She isn't sure what's going on but she likes it. This is such an erotic story. It is so intense. It really keeps you on your toes of who,what, where, and when. Thank you United indie book blog for allowing be to read this book. I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Aravice, Unforgiving, Unleased. This series turned out to grab me fast and pull me in. I wanted it to keep going. I’d not say it was busy though it did have a bit of everything. Even some parts had me hesitating on “turning” the page, (kindle owner) only wondering what would happen next.
I don’t fall in love with heroines often, (my bad) but Kameo grew on my, by the end of the series I was fully in her court.
The whole mix of serious bad vs good, the taboo, serious hot scenes,well written BDSM elements, and danger kept me so intrigued.
The Devil I thought was brilliant the way he came across, to his all about I’m a baddie personality. I also enjoyed the secondary character devil’s “brother” ( I hope he gets his own story).
The story and characters meshed well and I read and reviewed this series voluntarily. I recommend this series for the dark lovers out there. Enjoy.

The Avarice Collection was amazing! The three books - Avarice, Avarice Unforgiving, and Avarice Unleashed - take us through Kameo (Kami) and Saphiel (Saph)'s sexy, dark, and thrilling journey. When Kami's dreams seem to collide with reality, what happens? I loved that she was a feisty spitfire of a heroine, and Saph was oh my, darkly sexy and mysterious. The BDSM scenes in this series were so intriguing and spellbinding. I found myself holding my breath through many scenes! I also loved that this story had paranormal elements in it - Hell on Earth, evil and good, all were key in this fantastically twisted collection!

This book was nothing like I expected. Putting it down was hard to do. Kami has had a hard life. Kami notices a man with a bull head dressed in a suit with an entourage with him when out for Halloween party with her best friends. She feels him staring at her. So she decides she is going to dance for him. This is the beginning of strange things happening to Kami. She isn't sure what's going on but she likes it. This is such an erotic story. It is so intense. It really keeps you on your toes of who,what, where, and when. Thank you United indie book blog for allowing be to read this book. What a great way to get started on what I hope is s series with three books in this box set. A.C. Melody gives us a dark, twisted blow your freakin mind on the edge of your seat roller coaster of a a read. Its hard to find that book with content that will shock me but yet keep me wanting more. This read is NOT for the faint of heart or someone with a sensitive attitude when it comes to certain kinks. This was a d!!! good read.

At 37% I couldn’t finish this book. The use of “Baby girl” ruined this story. No high class billionaire would use this term of endearment. It’s urban slang and affectionare, two things this male dom is not. It’s such a jarring term for him to use, so uncharacteristic of him that is becomes a distraction in one of the worst ways. To know that it happens 72 times in this book is annoying beyond belief.
And while I‘m at it, what’s with this chick crying all the time? I thought she was a stronge character? There are elements in this story that really bother me, one being I dislike all things monied and show-off-y that it usually turns ne off. I did manage to block it out for awhile, but... after that whole baby girl, it just adds to my growing dislike for this story.

Worth the price.
I have kindle unlimited and don't buy too many books outside of that but this was a good purchase. I don't usually go in for supernatural or mythical stories but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The writing was excellent and the storyline was enjoyable.
