This is a wonderful book, written by a wonderful writer. Bill clearly loves/d India, and understood the country. This comes through so very clearly in his writing
The adventures are well written, with a marvellous sense of humour and insight. I did not know that he had taken Indian citizenship.
To learn to ride a bike when you are 50, and then to go all over the country on a tight budget is a truly brave thing to do. You need a mixture of madness, passion and commitment to do this, and he has all this in good measure

A marvellous book, which brings India to life
