This book offers an interesting lens to understand the debates around liturgy that are happening today. This is because we can see that many of the problems in the present state of the liturgy were being addressed at the time this lecture was originally given in 1912. This is seen with the constant reference back to Tra le sollecitudini (promulgated in 1903 by Pius X), because it shows that there was a need for problems to be addressed in the liturgy in order to recentre it. So, I found this book interesting because it provided a compelling lens through which one could view current problems.
