In honor of the fiftieth anniversary of the Nature Conservancy, a collection of original, previously unpublished photographic images from some the world's most acclaimed photographers--such as Annie Liebovitz, William Wegman, Hope Sandrow, and Terry Evans--captures the unique beauty of biologically important sites in North America, Asia, the Pacific, and other locales. 20,000 first printing.
This is an eclectic selection of photographers, sent out on assignment to photograph the Nature Conservancy's Last Great Places. It is more of a concept, and I'm not sure that it works for me. The photographers bring their dispositions to taking pictures with them, and sometimes it seems to fit, and other times it doesn't.
