Dropped at chapter 3 out of 68, almost a brand new record. The beginning has all the elements that I hate. I’m not in the mood for trite obstacles for main characters. She just came in the new location and, right as I’m pleased by the fact that she managed to have cash prepared for running away, she immediately lost all of it? Wtf? She found a “solution” and then immediately became a spoiled brat? Okay. She finally got a tiny bit of a foot hold and then immediately a fear of dogs came out? I’m rolling my eyes so hard they’re falling out.

I have read and liked many works by this author but I can’t get into this one.
