Everyone likes things that are awesome, so have the 100 most awesome things in one book is pretty, well, awesome! The book goes through many different things from man made structures and vehicles, to things from all around nature. Some of things in the book you already knew were pretty awesome such as the Great Wall of China, and the northern lights, but somethings in the book you would never think off when you thought of awesome such as smartest robot, or fastest rocket. I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes things that are awesome, or people who like fact books.

100 Most Awesome Things On The Planet was a real page turner for me it had a lot of interesting information in only 111 pages. It’s content was very interesting and left me questioning what I thought. It gave me much interesting information that I never knew about before. I would recommend this book to all readers from 5 year olds to 105 year olds.

This is a great book for people of all ages who want to learn more about our planet and things in and around it. Many of the things can be put on a bucket list, like visiting the Great Pyramids or driving across the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway. Some things I never heard of like Asimo the robot.

"100 Most Awesome Things on the Planet" by Anna Claybourne lists and describes 100 of the most Awesome Things in the world. She provides a rating chart (1-5). 5 being Completely Awesome, and 1 being Cool!. This book is: well written, informative, and a super fun read. This book is very enjoyable. I would be able to read this book multiple times, and still enjoy it just as much as the first time I read it.

Rating: 3 stars because I liked it, but I didn't 'really like it'.
Errors: No spelling or grammatical errors noticed.
Timeline: The list is far to big for me to list them all, but here is most of them:

1) [page 31-Namib Desert] "The Namib in Africa is thought to be the oldest desert on the planet--it's been dry as a bone for around 55 million years."

2) [page 38-Yellowstone] "Yellowstone's last giant eruption was aboug 630,000 years ago.", "Some scientists think that Yellowstone is due for another supervolcanic eruption soon. If it was an eruption like the one 630,000 years ago, it would be the biggest in human history..."

3) [page 42-Monarch Migrations] "Each monarch follows the same route as it's ancestor took...How do they know where to go? Scientists think the information must be somehow stored in their bodies, but they're still trying to figure it out."

4) [page 61-Jupiter's Great Red Spot] "...the Great Red Spot has been swirling for at least 350 years!"

5) [page 64-Great Pyramid of Giza] "To construct the Great Pyramid more than 4,500 years ago, with no cranes, bulldozers, or power tools, the Egyptians managed to cut, shape, and haul more than two million blocks of stone, each weighing more than two cars, and fit them together into a perfect pyramid...Experts think they must have used teams of thousands of men..."

6) [page 67-Nazca Lines] "...think the early Nazca people did this sometime between 1,500 and 2,000 years ago."

7) [page 103-Hubble Space Telescope] "And THAT means that when we see it, we are seeing how it looked over 10 billion years ago!"

--[in reguards to all expect 3.] Nothing in the world is over a million/billions years old. Especially because the earth is not even that old. [2 and 3] Whoever these so called 'scientists' are who think that...sorry, but you're wrong. [3] Hey, guess what!? I'm not a scientist, but I KNOW THE ANSWER....God gave it to them. That's how they know. Simple as that. [4] I don't think that's true. [5] Ummm...sorry to burst you're bubble, but actually, the Israelites most likely built the pyramids... and the Egyptians get praise for it all. Why? Well at the time, the Israelites were in slavery by the Egyptians. [7] Haha. You got to be kidding...uh. No.

This book doesn't have a plot as it is a pretty much a summary that explains about certain things that are awesome. The book rates how awesome each of the things that they have put are with epic faces(if you don't know, an epic face looks like the picture in this link http://www.google.ca/imgres?num=10&am...) and they rate it from one epic face-5 epic faces and give brief descriptions about the awesome things and why it's so awesome. For example, one of the awesome things in the book was a rocket plane. The rocket plane actually does exist and it's pretty much half rocket half plane because it looks like an airplane yet it flies across space for the tourists to see the earth outside of it. The prices are very expensive yet going to outer space and coming back to earth just to take pictures is a one in a lifetime opportunity so the rating for the awesomeness of a Rocket Plane is 4 epic faces and 4 epic faces mean incredible.
The reason why I had picked up this book was mainly because I have read the "100 MOST DANGEROUS THINGS ON THE PLANET" and because I had liked the book, I wanted to read another book similar to it and I have found this book and after I had read the back of the cover of the book, I have noticed that it looks similar to the Dangerous book so I read it.
The reason why I have read the book to the very end was because it shows amazing (and yes awesome) things that are fascinating and the way the have described the things are very realistic and clear which made me want to read all of the awesome things in the book.

I love this book because it taugh me so much about our planet for examlpe on page 25 dead sea:the dead sea isn't a sea but an extremely slaty, low-lying lake between the hot desert land of israel and jordan.it's called the dead sea because it's so salty that wildlife can't live in it.it's awesomely weird in many ways.another examlpe is on page 38 yello stone: one of the biggest volcanoes in the world isn't a mountain it's a wide, flat bowl shape,or caldera.it's the yello stone caldera in utah.

I would recomend this book to anying one who likes to read about our planet because this book has many amazing facts about our planet that i think lots of people would like to know about.this book is by anna claybourne she knows lots about our planet so check out this book.

I'm the kind of person who is obsessed with worldly wonders, whether it be man made or natural, there is so much to see and it's my goal to see it all! In this book, Anna Claybourne takes us through the best sights and experiences in the world. With a rating system of 1 smiley face to 5 faces (5 being the most awesome), we get to see numerous wonders that are worth a view. From the Burj Khalifa, the worlds tallest skyscraper, to Mount Everest, Earth's highest point, this book has it all for students who are just as enthused by geography and man made marvels as I am. With large excerpts of information on each page involving location, fun facts, and pictures the student will know everything there is to know about each topic! Books such as these are great ways to see what your students think is "cool" or "awesome", have them pick one topic out of this book and have them do a short writing exercise on why they chose it.

1oo Most Awsome Things On The Planet By Anna Claybourne: As the title suggests, the book is about 100 different things that are on our planet. The things range from the world's highest bridge to black holes. I really liked how the book briefly described really complex topics such as black holes, particle colliders, and a neutron star. Anna Claybourne did a good job with the list of items she put in her book. I found myself researching multiple topics that I had previously read in the book during my spare time. I would recommend this book to a classmate because there were so many interesting topics that I learned (such as the Iguacu Falls, Mount Thor, and Ha Long Bay) about from reading the book. If this book was part of a series, I would definitely read the next one because of the interesting facts and topics.

This book is about awesome creatures and awesome human-made structures. One of the records is the tower of Dubai which is a skyscraper where people work, it is 2,645 high in feet. Two people jumped off the building in 2010 right when it opened. They got arrested because the weren't allows to jump off. They're are 104 floors and the people jumped off the 95 floor. A.

I think that this book was very good. It tells you some of the most awesome things in the world. Also, it gives you a rating of how awesome it is. This book gives you good information about some places in the book. One of my favorite parts in the book is Glowworm Cave. It is one of my favorite places because Since the cave is dark and the worms light up, it looks like stars.

I use this with my articulation students who are working on their speech sounds in reading and conversation. It's interesting, short enough that kids don't feel like they're reading forever and best of all: Educational.

Some interesting things in this book although some of the ratings weren't very good in my opinion. For example, it rated a butterfly migration 5 stars in awesomeness yet the cave of crystals in Mexico only received 2 stars.
