For a number of years he had been in the habit of joining a group of friends at my home for Thanksgiving dinner, where he met a number of young men with whom he was en rapport and where he was always the gayest of the gay, entertaining us by popping corn, cracking nuts, reading from his Lines Long and Short, ending by playing that appealing song Juanita on the piano and to which he gave a most charming and lovely interpretation.
