This book is go authored by Google Lit Trips founder Jerome Burg. It is a very good introduction to all kinds of book mapping, both high tech and low. Also it clearly explains step-by-step how to create book maps in Google Maps and Google Earth. Very accessible for the non-techie. Good for all subject areas.
Bookaday #99. I ordered this book after attending an interesting session on Google Earth and Lit Trips. The book is very dry, however it features very detailed on using the different mapping programs. There is also a good management system for student use of classroom computers. Glad I had the training, this will be a good resource if I need to look something up.
A well-written resource for teachers. Bookmapping is a great way to integrate technology with literature, geography, and more. I like the way the authors provide clear explanations of how to use the tools described.
I can't wait to use this idea with my students! Great step by step instructions and wonderful ideas for lessons. A great cross-over assignment between geography, literature and history.
