Oh man. The intimacy in this book was soooo hot and so well written! 🥵🫠

Hawke use to be best friends with Summer when they were younger. But once his little brother decided he wanted to date Summer, Hawke stepped back and distanced himself from her.

Hawke’s parents decided to renew their vows in Cancun and since Summer’s parents are best friend with them, they all go! Hawke thought he wasn’t able to make it but his calendar opted up so he surprised his parents with his arrival. Due to no open vacancy, Hawke stays with Summer. At this point, summer can’t stand him. She’s hurt he left their friendship and hates how he’s a huge playboy.

Summer just got dumped before this trip so not only is she seeing her ex boyfriend but also her ex friend, who happen to be brothers.

Over this trip, Hawke makes it his mission to be with Summer. Since she’s a travel blogger she makes this trip fun by doing stuff to add to her blog. Hawke is a well known fashion photographer and he helps take her portraits along the way. Due to forced proximity, lines get blurred.

Was a fun quick read for the evening.

But the thing that irked me a bit was the end. Besides being a bit rushed, the proposal just didn’t fit the couple at all. I was disappointed that Hawke didn’t propose at breakfast, since it had such a symbolic meaning in their relationship, and that was what I was envisioning for them.

Anyways, I had fun reading it, it brought me about 2 hours of entertainment and hopefully helped me out of my reading slump.

I always love when we get the friends to enemies to lovers’ trope and this one was done to perfection!!! Summer travels the world showing local small businesses and hot spots to see when you are traveling. Her blog has gotten bigger as the years have gone on but at the cost of her love life. She is finding that not too many want to date a person that is always on the go, traveling to the next location to show off how amazing things are to experience. So, when a perfectly timed family trip presents itself, Summer knows that she needs to go and be there to support her parents’ best friends as they renew their vows. Hawke had a very last-minute cancelation that has opened his schedule to fly to see his parents renew their vows. It had been a long time since he has seen his parents and brother as well as his parents’ best friends and their daughter, Summer. Growing up it was always Hawke, his brother Holden and Summer. That was until his brother decided to date Summer. Hawke has always only wanted Summer, but hat bro code was always in place and Summer swore that Hawke hated her because once she started dating Holden he basically vanished. There was just so much more to each of them, and Summer has been broken too many times to notice anything else around her.

This book is the perfect mix of fun, sun and sand. We find that sometimes tequila and lime are a perfect combination and watching as Summer has her eyes opened to the one person, she should have always seen was beautiful. Sunrises and Sunsets are gorgeous, and getting to experience them with someone even if they are only your friend makes them special. Summer shows Hawke, Holden and his girlfriend that fun that can be traveling and venturing off. Truly a wonderful book!

Hawke was the most liked character for me in the book. The weird tension between him and his brother over the girl finally came to a head between them and I hadn’t liked Holden anyway, but it was just a nail in the coffin for me. He didn’t want her, but he didn’t want anyone else to have her. For ‘caring’ about her I thought that was a weird take. I especially felt bad for Carly, when he’s clearly pining for a girl he can no longer have. I wasn’t exactly sold that he wanted to be with her either. I get that they were all best friends when they were kids, but ten years is a lot to change and grow.
Other than taking photos of the other I never got the connection piece I wanted and the only thing they seemed to do was breakfast, activity, sex. Hardly any talking seemed to happen and it got quite repetitive with each chapter. Lastly, when I turned the page and found the epilogue I was genuinely surprised as the chapter left off on a weird ending and I didn’t expect the flash forward. Overall, it was an easy read, but it fell relatively flat for me.

If there’s one thing I’m going to go for every single time, it’s the ex’s older brother trope. There is just something so deliciously forbidden that comes with the storylines that always keep me hooked the whole way through! The tension, the lingering stares, the undeniable chemistry... I love it, I can’t get enough of it, and this book had it all!
.
It’s officially June, school’s out, the pool is open, and a vacation romance is exactly what I was looking for. Something fast, flirty and fun and maybe throw in some steamy fu-... well you get it. I’m such a sucker for an mmc who’s been secretly pining for the fmc for years and these two just made so much sense. It was watching them figuring it out!
.
This is my third D.C. Kile book, now, and it definitely won’t be my last!

Loved Hawk and Summer!!!! Loved how sassy she was and how obsessed he was. Loved how she didn’t immediately fall at his feet and made him put in the work. The only thing I hated were the reminders of how much of a manwhore he was. Like I get it he was a fuckboy. You don’t have to keep bringing it up. Every time it was mentioned made me a little upset with him because he claimed Summer was the only one for him but then was a manwhore. And I know he was tryna get over her by being playboy but it just bother me. Other than this I did like this book.

I finished this book in one day. Need I say more! This is my first D.C. Kile book and definitely won’t be my last.

Summer is a successful travel blogger, in every area but her love life. Hawke is her former best friend and notorious ladies man. When she is forced to share her room while away for a vow renewal of family friends, she’s hoping to just survive the shared space with him. Hawke however plans to push every button.

The chemistry, the tension, the yearning, and of course…the man 😚 This book had so many moments where I actually giggled out loud. Teasing and sass are my love language so having two characters who had some quality moments filled with both instantly had me hooked.

I am a sucker for sibling ex and I love a good summer vibe story so it was a no brainer that I needed to read this one. IT. DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT.

It was more than just a spicy story of betrayal. There was a lot of history between these three and a lot of feelings. Summer was friends with Hawke and his little brother, up until the day the brother admitted feelings for Summer and they started dating. But they didn't last. Summer had different plans for her life. But can Hawke fit into those plans? I am in love with Hawke and the way he fought for Summer.

Okay so I liked it.. but I didn’t love it.

The beginning felt a little rushed of going through the motions of being broken up with and then getting to Mexico. Finally it slowed down and we could finally take in the relationship blossoming between Summer and Hawke.

They were great, it was cute and the smut was good but it was just abit meh.

Nothing exciting or world shattering.

Great read if you just want to pass the time.

Oh. My. God. I absolutely ate this book up, childhood friends to enemies to lovers. I absolutely loved the progression of their relationship. Absolutely loved this book 😲. Did not expect it, also loved how they handled Holden (the brother & ex) however did not like him, was a bit of a red flag imo but I still enjoyed it. If you love a good childhood friends would highly recommend giving this one a read

Incredible & swoonworthy

You know those books. The ones where it sucks you in and nothing else matters? That was me with Tequila, Lime and Sunshine by D.C. Kile.

It’s a fun, steamy and unputdownable - because that’s a word today - ex-boyfriends brother forced proximity romance. When I tell you I devoured this thing…my husband yelled at me to put the book down because I had to get up for work in a few hours.
Needless to say - I hated him until I finished it the next day.

Friends to Enemies to Lovers.
Summer is off to wedding and who will be there he ex. He was her first everything, but he will be bringing his new girlfriend and Summer just got dumped.
Hawke has a chance break in work and can fly in to watch his parents renew their vows, but he will also have a chance to lay eyes on Summer again.
They spent everyday together as kids, but that was a lifetime ago.

This was a cute little story and an easy, quick read. It’s perfect if you’re looking for something light and low-commitment.

That said, the writing style pulled me out of the story more than once. The repetitive sentence structures and phrasing became noticeable and distracting, especially as the book went on.

Another big issue for me was Holden’s reaction toward the end. It gave me whiplash.

But overall, it’s an enjoyable, fluffy read.
