After taking a very long time to read this book, I finally finished. It was highly educational and very useful in many ways, covering (in a general and specific manner at the same time) a large amount of data regarding archaeology. Despite the Australian focus, it's a great resource and it comes with many bibliographical suggestions for further study.

It's a funny book, for sure. It's got a lot of important information and it was a class requirement. I think some of the advice is only really relevant either a) for old-world archaeology or b) on very big projects which most people using the book probably won't be on until later in their career.
